While this was not my favorite book, it was still pretty good. I will say it gives me big 80s, naked guy on the cover, housewife smut, but ya know what? Smut started somewhere lol. 

I really enjoyed the idea of the book and thought that it took you on a fun adventure. While some of it was very much, yeah right because there’s literally no way, it was still enjoyable. I did not love the narrator and thought his women’s voice was borderline intolerable, but that could be me being picky. 

If you’re looking for sex, it’s here. Scenes are plenty! Verbiage is well, kind of awful.

Lover of Romance

And as far as this series goes, this was definitely one hell of a ride, and at the top of my personal favorites list. This love story was filled with so many surprises that I could hardly keep up with the story( but in a really great way...of course) The plot was very intense and dramatic, filled with passion and adventure....from beginning to end a remarkable love story, that truly had me from the first page. The characters were riveting and real for the reader, and a roller coaster of emotional results, a perfect mix of a wonderfully written romance! Definitely one of my favorites to read, and I couldn't put this down.....

I was in love with this book. I love the idea of being fated together in different timelines and reuniting. The lust between the characters was felt. Some sexxy seems for sure. Reminded me of the Outlander tv series.

I admit that I rolled my eyes a little when I first started reading this book. I am starting to grow a bit weary of the insta-love trope. I totally understand why some books have to do it, but I find myself becoming more and more a fan of the slow-burn romance. But, then as I read it Karen Marie Moning, worked her magic and I ended up really enjoying this book. It did the one thing I love, which is made me laugh out loud. I also enjoy an intelligent heroine, although I am not sure how I feel about the fact that the character felt like she had to hide her intelligence from people. However, this didn't make me enjoy the story any less.

I am having a love hate relationship with these Highlander novels. Some I love, some I think are boring, and some it takes me awhile to get into. This was one that took me awhile to get into, I was reading this book for a whole month. I read like a paragraph a night and I found it so boring. I was at around 15% when I finally said screw it and read more. Then the next thing I know I am at 68% and that’s when I realized I was going to be up all night finishing this book because it actually hooked me. So while I liked this book, I also didn’t like it. It had its moments, but it isn’t my favorite. But I am looking forward to continuing this series.
