This book really made me question what I take into account when deciding whether a book was "good", and more so, what I decide to include when reviewing.

I spent most of it thoroughly enthralled and barely finishing each sentence to get to the next page. I loved it, every moment of it. Until the Epilogue.

This book is NOT a romance. There is hardly a happily ever after and what there is, is yanked out from under you AFTER the last chapter of the book.

Suspense, anticipation, the thrill of what's to come keeps you engrossed in this story only to be rewarded with a "and it was all just a dream".

It feels like a genuine slap in the face to your reader and if you're an author considering doing this please, please, don't. 

On a technical level the POV of the writing was difficult to follow at times and it could have used another proof read overall. These things weren't too distracting from the reading experience.

Would have given 4 stars but that ending was outright disrespectful.

I loved this book right up until the epilogue, which then made me only give it 3 stars. WTF I was so mad and upset with that epilogue.

           3.5 because the epilogue made me audibly gasp. 

When read as a romance book, it’s really good- I love the idea of soul bonds dreaming of one another only to one day cross paths…. ONLY FOR IT TO BE A DREAM???? Because of the internet, I thought this was going to be more sci-fi-y with undertones of romance. I feel like the secondary conflict w/ Silas being stuck in his dangerous career + attempting to escape would’ve been more interesting as a main conflict- as a conflict period I think it started too late in the book. BUT LIKE DID THAT EVEN HAPPEN? Was the dream her seeing the future?!!! WHAT THE HELL.

I never write reviews for books, but I wanted to say this this book has really been sticking with me. I read it all in one day. This book so heart wrenching and romantic (and spicy), set in an intriguing sci-fi world. The story telling feels so genuine and beautiful, I honestly can’t say enough good things about it!
