Karl Barth, one of the 20th century's most prominent theologians, was a lifelong devotee of Mozart and his music. This book, originally published in celebration of the 200th anniversary of Mozart's birth in 1956, is fittingly reissued in English translation in 1986, the 100th anniversary of Barth's birth.
