wasn’t really feeling the plot,,, did not feel any chemistry from them and didn’t really connect with them,,,, not a fan of insta love,,,,and the lia pov at the end,,,,, why am i not excited for her book?,,,, anyway but of course i would still be hopeful bc i love the ward family :(

3.4 🌟 oh to have a tattooed snowboarder to be enamored with you at first sight and the whole book. (view spoiler)[ Ignoring the insta-love (already saying I love you in 5 days tho like wow that stuck-in-a-cabin chemistry), I love the couple's meet-cute and that Bauer already knew from the start which twin was who (hide spoiler)]

Faked by Karla Sorensen Ward Sister #2 ★★★★ Claire has been in love with her twins best friend, Finn, for years. Lia finally gives her what she thinks is a chance to be with inn when she asks Claire to switch places with her for a night. Not only does Finn not show up, his brother who came in his place sees right through Claire. They have to start faking a “relationship” for a weekend to schmooze an old rich man. Bauer is enjoying it because he truly starts to like Claire. I enjoyed this feel good, happy book. I though it was cute how much Bauer tried to fix himself to show Claire he was serious. He even went into the mountains with his step mom who he hates to spend more time with her. I loved how well spoken Claire was on tough subjects and I think that is also what drove her appeal home. People can’t fix everything within them quickly though and sometimes Bauer falls behind. I hated how Claires family (mainly her sister, Lia) wouldn’t just listen to Claire and ask her of her feelings instead of just assuming Bauer was going to hurt her. Overall a very sweet book with a strong plot.

Felt instalove-y for me

liked the characters a lot, but that the story was only ok

I think it's safe to say I'm officially obsessed with Karla Sorensen's characters and words. I'm all in on her Ward Sisters series and can't get enough of them. Fake it till you make it is one of my favorite tropes and it's done so well here with Claire and Bauer. I didn't read the blurb going in, so I thought I was getting one story (Claire + Finn) but what I really got was SO MUCH BETTER. Such a sweet and sexy read.
