I loved this one, 4.5 stars! It's exactly what I was looking for for the summer: very cute story with great characters, a simple but effective plot with fun scenes, a perfect narrator. Feel-good story, just the right amount of fluff.

I love everything about this. PLOT: Amazing. And it was actually a lot less predictable than I expected. CHARACTERS: Adorable and lovable. They're all so great! LOVE STORY: Cute and sweet. This was such an easy and lovely read!

I know the rating was 2 stars, but this wasn't bad. It was really fun and cute, although not as good as the others Kasie West's books I've read. It's just not that kind of book that is going to stick with me.

It only gets better and better! Sometimes I hesitate to share important things because … I don’t think people will care about them as much as I do. And then when I do share, the things are out there to be judged, or never thought about again. And I can’t decide which outcome is worse.” *** "I’m not used to being this open.” I bit my lip. “I’m used to hiding behind sarcasm and indifference.” *** "You post just enough online to prove you exist but are vague enough that nobody ever gets to know who you are." I was private. "You have quite the analyzing stare.” “Really? That obvious?” “Yes, kind of a squinty-eyed, silent judgment thing.” “I’ll work on that.” He smiled. “I didn’t say it was a bad thing.” Diego was private, I was learning. Just when I thought I’d broken through and he’d revealed something about himself, he seemed to back off. I understood. I liked to keep things inside, too.

Cute of course

Oh Kasie West.

this was a cute and quick contemporary read, really light hearted and kind of what i needed since my last read was such a disappointment. i really enjoyed the podcast part of this story, although it was obvious from the get go who the mystery guy liked. i really enjoy kasie west’s books and need to read more of them!

DNF 35% Kasie West has sweet/quick-read contemporary books. This one wasn't that. This was a badly written wattpad fanfiction.

Adorable as always.

Cute concept, meh execution. I liked all of this in theory, but in practice the story fell a little short. Kate, the main character, had an interesting extended family that was BARELY touched on, other than, "oh yeah, my grandparents gave all their land to their kids so now basically my entire extended family lives right next to each other" like ???????? It would have been so cool to explore those relationships more, but alas. Speaking of relationships, does one even exist in this book? I felt like it was pretty obvious from the beginning what was going to happen, and even though I was expecting it, the chemistry fell way flat for me. I didn't think any of the characters were engaging (except Frank. What a bro) and none of their interactions made me want to root for their inevitable couplings. I think all my issues boil down to Kasie West doing a lot of telling, not showing, which is a problem for the YA contemporary romance subgenre in general, but BOY does she give every other author a run for their money, and not really in the good way.

I really enjoyed this one.

I loved this book my Kasie west. It was the Prefect summer read. I loved the main character a lot. I also really liked the focus on podcasting as a hobby. I am huge podcast fan and loved seeing the "inside" workings of making a podcast. I also like how her books always have elements of self discovery and i saw elements in so many of the characters not just the lead girl. I loved the setting of the water front and the school. It was a super fast pace read the I read over two days on my various train rides to and from the city. This book made me smile and laugh out loud and will be prefect summer read :)

3.5* This was exactly what you would expect it to be. It was a fluffy, quick romance-y book that you could probably read in one sitting. It did throw me off because of the cover images, I thought it was a summer-y book but it actually takes place within the first two months of the school year. I liked the lake kids vs. city kids theme throughout the book, I thought it was a unique spin. The characters were mostly fine, but the “twists” and “reveals” were guessed way before they become known. It was cheesy but not horrible. I was hoping for a bit more swoon but that’s fine. It was just fine, though I did like the added element of the school’s podcast. I thought that was super cute, and would have been an awesome edition to my own high school, although I can’t imagine my high school’s teacher overseeing the podcast would be as interested in ratings as this one was.

Just a light, cute, summery read! Just what I needed!

I completely adored this book. I feel like the more I read Kasie west the more she because an auto buy author for me. Granted her books are pretty simple, and I usually predict what's going to happen but that doesn't stop me from reading them. They are cute, fluffy and can sometimes back just enough of a punch to the feels that it hurts. I always come out of one her books happy and content.

Queen of fluff

This is probably by far my favorite book from Katie West. Honestly I might be a little bias since I love when there is some handsome Latino or Asian boy as main love interest! Story was engaging and cute with so many lovable characters, but more importantly there was “good boy” (dog). Man my favorite scenes were the CP was in it. I’m really grateful that K.W stories exist and get published constantly because when I’ve only been reading fantasy after fantasy, her stories are the best breaks ever!

This book is really cute. I loved the personal development of the main character:Going from hating being on the radio club to actually being immersed in it and starting to understand that maybe, there are other options for her. And it was really interesting, that setting. It's something i never actually read about. The fact that Frank, Kate, Lana and Diego became slowly a group of friends, was pretty amazing too. And of course i liked the relationships: Kate and Diego/ Lana and Frank.

Buddy read with Kayla! ♥

Seriously, this is one of the cutest books I've ever read

I just want to say that I love Kasie West’s books and this one is too. It’s so light, easy read, perfect for summer reading! So cute and touching! I love love love it! ADORABLE! ♥️

3.5⭐️ This was a nice, cute read that is meant to put a smile on your face. Nothing that blew my mind, but it was exactly what I expected when I picked it up. I can’t wait to read more of Kasie West’s books as she never disappointed me.
