generally the only captivating story in the elephant vanishes collection; this and the titular story. i thoroughly enjoyed sleep, but i can't say i enjoy any of his other works.

I picked this book up because I've been wanting to read something by Haruki Murakami for a while and this was the shortest book by him my library had. I know, not the perfect way to pick out a book but I am really glad I did. I thought this book was very interesting. It's more of a slice of life story, so it's not really for everyone but I did think it was very interesting. I really liked the writting. The ending felt a bit abrupt but I do like it. I don't really have much to say about it but I do think this was a great introduction to Murakami for me because I'm very interested now in picking up more by him.

I like his writing style.Very talented! It grabs your attention from the very first lines and make you rush on with the story .
