I love a good billionaire romance and this one did not disappoint! 

Predictable plot since duh it's a fake dating trope, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I love good banter moments between the main characters. 

The amount of spice was unnecessary, but none of it felt cringey or too overwhelming. The ending was a bit rushed, but still sweet.

I did physically and audibly cringe at some of this book, but that happens with every romance so I am not mad at ALL.

This was my first Kat Singleton and I was immediately drawn into this story. I really had a blast seeing how this book evolved. The vibes of this book felt very Meghan March/Katy Evans type. I was immediately captivated by the fun bantering between these two. And the setup was so fascinating. The whole hero has been in love but had a jerk of a brother he had to let have the girl he loved ...was dreamy. And the ways that he goes about fighting for her when it matters just melted my heart. Now while this book wasn't perfect, it had a fabulous turnaround. The heroine could be SO stubborn at times though. But I will say the STEAM/SPICE in this book was a bit too much. I mean we have a sex scene that is like 7 CHAPTERS long. There was no need for it to be this long unless it was written to be closer to erotic romance. But it just felt like too much when I was expecting a regular contemporary romance. I can see why this book is so well-loved though. It had such a sexy vibe to the romance that was beyond endearing

           a lot of stuff is happening all at once, yet there's barely any context as to why those happened? ykwim??? 

1. it's so random how a billionaire would buy a random company just to talk to a girl?
2. why is the said rich boy so aggressive fron the very beginning??? exuding sexual tension when technically they have no interaction whatsoever???
3. it's so weird that he feels so strongly for her when in fact she's his brother's ex???????? 
4. why is an artist working for a security company
5. How can the girl easily accept that assistant position???? 
6. it's not remotely romantic to see a guy manipulate his way to a woman's heart????? 
7. Bottomline, a girl just needs a rich boy and a good dickriding ? Well this book def served that one!

This book was fast paced and Ex’s older brother. I loved the plot twist that he planned the article and the of them getting her to fall in love.

It was pretty cute, but I wish we didn’t get the jump a month later because usually my favorite part is the domestic scenes in a marriage of convenience and seeing them fall in love.. their tension was great though and I loved the second half more than the first but the fake dating was nonexistent..

There were aspects of this book I liked and some that I think could have been better. The spice I really enjoyed in the book. Beck’s one-liners really made the book what it was. The plot was a really good concept but felt jumbled and confused and forced in some areas for me. The premise I got but there were some ways it could have flowed better. Where the third act break up wasn’t developed and done in the last 8 chapters of the book when there are 58 chapters, and that the relationship between Beck and Margo could have had these Easter eggs throughout that didn’t feel like facts added after the fact. 

The side characters weren’t my favorites as wel. I did like Ezra and Winnie but Emma I couldn’t connect with. I guess it was her personality wasn’t clicking with. 

Then there was the inner turmoil Margo had at the end with Beck and that was a bit confusing too. How they were explained may be what I wasn’t getting but I think I may be looking at this too plot heavy. But if I were to look at this for just the spice it wasn’t half bad but sometimes I like having them both and I guess I went in hoping for this.

I have mixed feeling towards this books- I really enjoyed it but also it was lacking. I did find it odd that someone who is a graphic designer would want a promotion to something that was not in her related field. Especially after she knew she couldn't trust one of the brothers - and basically having to move across the country. I feel like if she was already in the general area, the situation of it all wouldn't have been all that bad. I mean she could've done more in her promoted position that was in her field but it's not mentioned- just her getting coffee. Those work emails were definitely something though- but I wished I would've been able to actually read more about the month that led to their fake engagement. And like don't get me wrong- their connection was definitely there but I wanted more.
