Bloomers Flower Shop owner Abby Knight has an eye for flowers and a nose for homicide. As a way to boost her flower business, Abby attends the Midwestern Funeral Directors Association's convention. Sounds morbid, but this group is anything but dull! When convention organizer Sybil Blount, known for her cutthroat business practices and the signature rose she wears in her wig, is discovered in a casket -- dead -- Abby's nose for detection is roused. And when her friend Delilah Dove becomes a suspect, Abby shifts into full investigative mode. It doesn't take her long to learn that Sybil's enemies were many and diverse.
