This could have been so good. Published omegaverse books very rarely live up to the works of art on AO3. This initially had a wonderful set up. Bliss grew up in foster care with her 4 friends who turned out to be alphas and they were all dead set on the idea that she was a beta. Regardless, they were all in, wanting to take care of her and be a pack despite her position. Then the story kind of topples over on itself. When she gets her designation as an omega, the pack is scared and they call the authorities because in this world all omegas have to be turned into some government entity that ends up drugging them to prolong the period in which their heat hits to then match them with a famous, rich alpha. This in itself is said to be against nature, and horrific to the omegas, as they’re essentially offered up on auction to the highest bidder. 

Bliss’ pack ends up calling up the institute because they’re newly 17/18 and without money or resources, so they have no actual way to provide and take care of her. What grinds my gears is that 4 years later when Bliss is put up to be matched- “auctioned off” the pack is surprised when Bliss explains that the institute basically traffics the omegas. LIKE WERE YOU NOT AT THE AUCTION?!?! (They were) This was just so ridiculous because how are you confused about something that you took a part of?!

 THEN, there are the 3 different times where assault is used needlessly. It’s understood that when a heat is coming on everyone is going to want to approach her and take advantage but I think the use of an assault is completely pointless and not handled with care at all. At one point she’s being touched without consent and the next she’s making out with her pack because they saved her and it’s never brought up again… we know that they save her, we know that they care for her, so it begs the question: What was the point?!?! 

Furthermore, when they get Bliss back, there is absolutely no communication because at 80% mark in the book she is still planning on leaving because they never 1. Apologized and 
2. Told her that they want her to stay. 

They’re then surprised when she is still planning on leaving, like what the fuck were you expecting?!?! You’ve explained absolutely nothing to her. 

THIS COULD HAVE BEEN SO GOOD. The chemistry was fantastic between the characters. I honestly loved the prequel WAY More and I was so excited, but this was such a let down. It’s very confusing because as it progressed the writing was fine but the conflict, plot, and planning, were so damn juvenile.

This was a little all over the place but I literally couldn't stop reading it. The angst between all the characters is driving me crazy. I hate that I read this so quickly and now have to wait another month for the final book to come out. I hope that the pack can finally get their happy ending.

So I figured I would give there alpha omega series a try. I am glad that I did! 

They make you fall in love with the female protagonists. They are never shy little girls that need saving. They are strong women who save themselves and know what they want. 

Bliss is a character that you love to watch grow and learn how to become herself. 

I love to see her pack liver her unconditionally and her figure that out.

So I figured I would give there alpha omega series a try. I am glad that I did! 

They make you fall in love with the female protagonists. They are never shy little girls that need saving. They are strong women who save themselves and know what they want. 

Bliss is a character that you love to watch grow and learn how to become herself. 

I love to see her pack liver her unconditionally and her figure that out.
