This book gets what a lot of contemporary romance gets wrong. The characters have chemistry and the flirting is adorable. Love, love, love the dual POV and getting to be inside both protagonist’s heads. I do think some of Hayes personality traits could’ve been fleshed out more. I think he was a little bit of fantasy man which is sometimes passable we don’t get the male characters pov but when you’re going to make him narrator we should really get to know his story the way we get to know Franny and understand better why he is the way he is. I also thought the queer representation was also nice and different for the genre. This book loses a star for having one of the worst executed third act breakups (which are all pretty stupid so thats saying something) and I think the break up and miscommunication was so contrived and placed to close to the end of the book that it made the end’s pacing poor and disjointed from the rest of the book. Overall though was a super cute light read that got me out of a slight slump
