I needed to take some time to write this review. This book completely and utterly wrecked me. There was BR(before reverse) and then there was AR(after reverse) my life will never be the same. 

This duet is something I cannot even explain. I laughed and I cried and I will be sending Kate my therapy bills. This book is a rollercoaster and you better buckle up and enjoy the ride. 

I cannot believe the depth that Kate gets into these characters. She makes you love and hate them at the same time. The angst she writes is TOP NOTCH. I cant get over this story. Drive and Reverse and the novella Bittersweet Melody need to move to the top of your TBR - once you have read them please message me so we can trauma bond.

Kate does it again. 

I honestly needed some time to think about what this book did to me. The writing is impeccable to the point where I felt the love and longing and hurt between these two characters as if I was in their brains. This book sucked me in from the beginning and I couldn’t put it down.

It took me a while to get into this story because of my love for Stella and Reid and the way “drive” was written. But Kate Stewart sure knows how to break your heart and heal it all over again. I’m in love with her stories of love and fate. So many tears were shed and Easton Crowne most definitely swept me off my feet.

I was completely blown away by this book. Holy shit. 

It's weird - sometimes you start a book and you know from the very beginning that it's going to be something special. I finished Drive, read the first chapter of Reverse that was at the end of Drive, and thought about it for days. I even read a book in between and still couldn't get it off my mind. Finally, I decided to read it and just.. wow.

This book ruined me. Not only that, it absolutely gutted me, had me sobbing, made me actually scream, throw my kindle, and had me smiling so freaking big.

You can tell that Kate Stewart's writing has greatly improved since Drive because this was something else entirely. The characters were much more developed and had such depth, imo.

I think the rest of this will be a spoilery review, but please let that up top be enough to convince you to read Drive just so you can get to this beautifully heart wrenching love story.

The only reason I am ok with Stella having chosen Reid is because through that union we got Easton. Fucking. Crowne. I cannot begin to explain how much I love that man. Don't get me wrong, he had moments when I wanted to strangle the shit out of him, but god. He was so different from his dad. I absolutely loved how he was so intent on always being honest and how he allowed himself to be open and painfully vulnerable with Natalie. Basically the exact opposite from Reid. He didn't hide anything from Natalie and I loved that he was only that way for her. The scene when he plays for her for the first time? My fucking heart. Or when he shows her his music?? Deceased. I love love love Easton.

I also loved Easton and Natalie's early stages in their relationship. I loved how they picked at each other, both verbally and physically with cute, subtle touches. You could tell from the beginning that they were well and truly fucked to love each other for the rest of their lives.

At first, Natalie drove me crazy with how frustrating and stubborn she was about their situation. In hindsight though, she knew the extent of their deceit and at least had some idea as to what their parent's reactions would be like. I don't think even she thought it would be that bad. Hell, I didn't.

Also, can we just talk about Nate??? I love that man so much and let me tell you, my heart shattered with this line: 
  "Is this my fucking life, Reid? Is a Crowne man destined to swoop in and take everything that's precious to me?"


Just.. Broke my heart.

The rest of the book after the big explosion was just a fucking whirlwind of pain, angst, agony, and so. much. heartbreak. It gutted me.

While I can understand why some people might have not liked the way it played out, I think it was fair. We have to remember that they were so young. They were bound to do stupid things and not see everything through the other's perspective.

The ending was perfect and had me absolutely sobbing. The epilogue? It was the ending I didn't even know I needed. Cherry on top of a great fucking book.

I'll be thinking about this one for a long while. Bet.

Kate Stewart just has a way of making me enjoy how much she breaks my heart and crushes my soul.

Holy. Wow.
Once again Kate has done it again. This book will fill you up, tear you apart, then put you back together.
The playlist brings this book to another level entirely.
I love Easton. I love Benji. I love Stella and Reid, and I’m not quite sure I like the premise that kicked off this story, but holy. Wow.
Major book hangover. Again.
