Second book of this short series, very well written, good storyline, love the characters. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

An agreeable read, though it did not really hit the mark with me. I found the romance a little underwhelming and at some point, I felt a little disconnected from the story. It might have been because I did not like it as much as I enjoyed "The Dragon's Bride". 

It has definitely some appeal if you want to read something short with some "spice" in it, but it was missing a little something for me.

Tough to get into, especially with a lead protagonist who’s suffered  a lot of emotional abuse, and is so down on herself. perhaps not the right mood for me.

I can tell the romance will evolve to something very tender and sweet. But I don’t think widow(er) romances are in my wheelhouse, they make me too sad!

didn't start off strong, but i think it was because i related a little too much to catalina & didn't really like that shot thrown in my face. haha. ha. anyway, good stuff, good stuff.
