4stars. Fake dating in a castle in Italy? Yes please. I don’t usually fall for the blonde male lead, but Jake just stole my heart. 
This book was the perfect romantic escape to Italy with a well executed fake dating trope and a dream castle job. Anna and Jake are complete opposites. Anna is maticulous, list oriented, and extremely organized, whereas Jake is laid back and go with the flow. Anna is a chef. Jake is an “excon” who does manual labor and rides a motorcycle. Anna is reserved, Jake is outspoken. Opposites. 

When Anna finds herself jobless, homeless, and boyfriendless, after finding her well connected boyfriend cheating on her in their bed, she ends up back at home with her dad scouring the job market. Cue: the Italian Job. A dream job in Italy in a castle! What more could she want?! The catch? The listing is for an established couple. Enter: Jake the boy literally next door (well across the street). Anna talks Jake into fake dating to get their dream job and to start fresh for a year. 

But, as they spend time together pretending to love each other, they begin to develop feelings for one another. After a steamy night together, things escalate. Do they admit their true feelings? Will they be out of a job when the owners find out? 

You’ll definitely enjoy this romantic comedy fake dating novel.

This book was sweet. It was fluffy. It was adorable.

The Italian Job features two lovable characters that are complete polar opposites but somehow they just... fit. What unfurls during this brilliant novel is a story full of anger, full of bravery and most importantly, full of love.

The Italian Job is the perfect summer read for anyone who just enjoys a bit of fun.

What a lovely surprise! 
I was expecting this to be good, but not as good as it was. 
It's a beautiful romance, with a bunch of tropes that I absolutely love and it's in Italy, what is there not to like? 

The characters were all so interesting, the plotline was so smooth and not rushed and it was so heartwarming. 
There are moments to make you happy, moments to make you wish you were in the book and also moments that make you so upset with how the characters are reacting, but with everything combined you get this incredible story. 

I got this arc but I can not wait for the actual book to be published so I can purchase it and read it again!
