I'm obsessed with this. I loved the world, I loved the characters, I loved the plot.

The only reasons this didn't get a five star from me were that the love interest is POC and isn't explicitly stated as so until much, much later in the book. Before that, he gets the ethnically ambiguous treatment.

Also, Miss Marlow is the epitome of the "I've jumped to conclusions, I've already jumped, I've landed" meme from Buzzfeed Unsolved.

Leaving this on a cliffhanger was a crime and I will be speaking to my therapist about this.
