They lied. Played me in a way I wasn’t expecting at all.

I made a mistake in trusting them, and that wouldn’t be happening again. If I could, I’d be far away from Ridgewood and the three men who crushed me in ways I didn’t think possible.

But I’m not that lucky. Once again, I need them. This time I refuse to let them fill the cracks in my heart. They’re nothing but a step closer to my freedom. They want me here with them, but if they try to keep me, it’ll be a decision they regret.

Thank you again to Kay Riley for the ALC for both books in the Sapphire Duet. I really liked this duet and am super excited to read more of Kay Riley’s books. While I did like the first book more this one was still action-packed and the conclusion was very satisfying. I do think there was some repetition in the book and while I understand the point it was trying to make it does take away a bit for me to have the same thing happened too often. There was a lot of fun things that discussed a previous series that I’m now very interested in and can’t wait to read next! But I’m so excited to have found another indie author to read more books by and to recommend to everyone else too.
