- Tumben banget baca buku Keigo bisa semingguan lebih 😅, memang menurutku, judul ini aga boring dan terkesan bertele-tele.

- Dibanding gencar mengajak pembaca buat cari tau apa yang sebenarnya terjadi lewat hint2 kecil, di buku ini penulis lebih menekankan mengajak kita buat memahami emosi dari tiap tokoh, jadi kita bisa bersimpati dan paham apa yang dialami para tokoh-tokohnya.

- Penyelidikan yang terbagi jadi 3 kubu (Detektif Goday & Nakamachi, Pihak Korban (Mirei) dan Pihak Terdakwa (Kazuma)) juga menurutku bikin alurnya tumpang tindih, mungkin ini yang bikin bukunya jadi tebal. Cmn aku suka cara penulis menghubungkan 2 kasus dari waktu yang berbeda di buku ini, idenya keren!

- Ada penyelidikan kasus lain di luar kasus utama yang menurutku kalo ga diceritakan pun gapapa, cmn mungkin diceritakan buat bahan compare aja dengan 2 kasus utamanya.

- Meski alurnya ga sampai scene persidangannya (padahal aku nunggu banget scene ini!), tapi proses buat jalan ke persidangan bener2 bikin kita dapet insight baru tentang sistem peradilan di Jepang.

- Ada banyak nama tokoh dan tempat di sini. Jadi harus bener-bener di amati. So, buku ini ga aku rekomendasikan buat pembaca yang baru mau coba baca karya Keigo, takut malah bingung 😕

- Aku juga suka dengan ending yang diambil, cukup realistis. Pada akhirnya ketika kebenaran terungkap, semua tokoh bisa berdamai dengan keadaan.

- Plot twistnya ga se WOW karya Keigo yang lain, cmn emang ga ketebak, dan ketika dijelaskan kenapa bisa 'Dia' ya masuk akal, jadi clear, no plothole.

- Romance tipis2 dihadirkan di sini, meski aga canggung menurutku. Cmn aku bisa paham, dengan kesamaan nasib, pasti manusia juga mudah bersimpati dan memahami manusia lainnya.

- Meski ga sebaik buku karya beliau yang lain (ini menurutku), tapi buku ini tetep menarik buat dibaca. 
Pesan yang disampaikan juga relate dengan kehidupan sekarang.

           Well uh, how do I.. how do I say it?

The first 90% of the whole book is literally AMAZING. There are drives, so many drives. And I personally feel like this book has MORE mysteries and riddles compared to Higashino's other books. The detective (Godai and his partner) didn't keep their finding to themselves, and actually told the readers about it; and so does Mirei and Kazuma, which is good, because we can go with the flow of the story without being left in the dark. The murder from that 30 years ago being significant in the whole plot is nice to me, and the talk about justice, and punishment and, (you guess,) crime is also nice!!!! i just love the fact that they take into account a murder with justice, by which only rebirth another crime that has no justification (Naoki Urasawa will be proud of YOU!! Nietzsche wouldn't, though)

I won't comment about the writing style, I think most of you already knew what his style was like. The characters are all mundane but fine, at least they each had their own colours!! (which is rare for this kind of mystery books, im telling you). Some of the past-story could be developed further, and the plot twists are not plot twists at all LOL. But this book is page-turning enough for you lots who love this kind of mystery!

MY only problem with the book is the later revelation of Tomioka's mental problem. I think it makes the entire vibes off, the colors greyed, and the overall rhythm thrown off. I just think that everything we have built in the first parts of the book just crumbled down after this revelation. I understand that it was to make the victim's death gain more symphaty from the reader. But holy shit, that throw the chart off. You see, I think I understand where the author is trying to go with this revelation, but it makes me so mad. The whole good feeling that I have built up for this book is just taken to dump after that.

It's unnecessary, lol. And just straight up bullshit.

This book should have got 5/5 with it.
