I was really hoping I’d love this, the summary sounds like something I’d love but I just didn’t enjoy it as much as I’d hoped. I didn’t really like Archer, he was too obsessed with Viv who was just using him, and he was mad at her for letting guys run all over her when he let Viv do the same to him. I skipped some bits towards the end cause I just wanted to know what was gonna happen. 

I think the story itself would make a really good movie or show, it was a really good idea I just didn’t connect with the writing or characters the way I would’ve liked.

I enjoyed this book quite a lot. One of my favorite parts was the lack of sexuality drama that Archer experienced. Throughout the novel, he underwent some attraction changes, shall we say, and this was pondered on briefly before it was accepted and moved on from. It's rare to find such a range of emotions dealt with so succinctly. I respect Kelley York for doing that so effectively. The plot is quite different to anything I've read in a while, but I definitely liked it. There are some things that make you think in this book, for sure. Character-wise, Vivian is such a manipulating little poo, to be honest. I wanted to scream at her in frustration. Near the end, there's a scene where you think it's all over and then BAM, she hits you where it hurts. And boy, does it hurt. I got quite emotional in parts of this book due to the connection I'd formed with Archer, who is in a constant state of confliction that could have easily been annoying but wasn't. Towards the end, I felt like I didn't really know Evan that well in terms of his life before Archer, but in this novel, there was so much other drama that it's understandably not the focus. It's a good book with an interesting storyline that I'd certainly recommend. Even if it's just for the last few chapters (daaamn, they got me good).

This was such an amazing book and it was hard to put down. It was intriguing and kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. It was a roller-coaster of emotions. I do wish though that we could have seen what happened after Archer got better.
