Running into your one-night stand is a special kind of awkward. Competing against him in a wine tasting contest is delicious torment... On Rachel's twenty-seventh birthday, she wishes to finally find a rewarding job. What she doesn't wish is to drink a boatload of wine, sleep with a tattooed bad boy, and drunk email her boss in one glorious, career-ending move. But the fiasco pushes her to pursue a career inspired by her late father's love of wine: sommelier. Unfortunately, she's competing against her infuriating one-night stand, a man as intoxicating as a Pinot Noir. Two years ago, Jimmy was set to inherit his family winery. Then it got ripped from his grasp. To close that dark chapter of his life, he plans to win a local sommelier contest and use the press to expose his family's tainted wines.Jimmy loves studying the streaks of alcohol that cling to a wineglass, known as the wine's "legs"; but other shapely legs are stealing his focus. Tantalizing legs. Legs that had wrapped around his waist for one wild night. Jimmy, sadly, has a weakness for legs. He also hates to lose. LEGS is a full-length, standalone Smart, Sexy Romantic Comedy with a swoony Happily Ever After. No cheating or cliff-hangers here! I've loved them all. I had pretty high hopes for Legs and it exceeded them all. It was hot, sweet and hit me in the feels a couple times. I adored Rachel pretty much immediately. Right from the opening scene in the bar, to be honest. It was easy to connect with and relate to Rachel. Who hasn't felt (more than) a little lost in this world at some time? Especially with regards to their career and what they're doing with their life? And with a love life full of failure? I certainly have. I also loved her friendship with Gwen and Ainsley. (Kelly writes great friendships, yo.) Jimmy was a little tougher character. Thankfully we spend roughly half the book in his head, so I felt more of a connection to him than I might've if I didn't have his perspective. He was a great guy, he just frustrated a little me at times. Of course, he'd been through some crap in his past and I can't exactly blame him for his trust issues. Rachel and Jimmy had one heck of a meet cute and it left me literally laughing out loud and dying of embarrassment for her simultaneously. It's just the type mortifyingly embarrassing thing that would happen to me. Their attraction and chemistry was immediate and things hit the ground running pretty quickly. Of course, it was only supposed to be a one night stand... Isn't that what they always say? :) Instead, they find themselves face-to-face again in a wine tasting contest and it's hard to ignore that intense chemistry they had from the start. What ensues is a sensual journey that would ultimately change both of them for good. (And it was super freaking sexy. *fans self*) I loved Legs. While I have been known to drink a glass — or bottle — of wine, I'm far from an expert. I mean, my go to wine is a $6 bottle of Barefoot Riesling, sooooo... I do have just enough interest in wine, however, that it made the secondary story of the wine tasting contest really intriguing. I thoroughly enjoyed reading along as they went through the contest. Mostly, though, I loved how the relationship between Rachel and Jimmy and the personal growth that occurred for each of them along the way. Legs was a fun and sexy book that gave me a few of the feels I so desperately want when I read. I adored the secondary characters and I can't wait to see where the One Wild Wish series takes each of them. I'll be waiting with grabby hands until I get to read the next book. I received a copy of this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. FAVORITE QUOTES "I'm taking a dating sabbatical myself." "To focus on work?" "Because I'm an asshole magnet." "The first step to owning your sexuality is by using words like pussy. Your mother can't hear you. Her head will not explode." "What's your poison?" "Apparently dangerous men I don't know, but I'll have a glass of the Lynmar Pinot."
