Emariya Warren is a girl who has lost her mother and isn’t willing to lose her father too. When she is told that the enemy has her father she finds that she will do anything to get him back. When she learns that a prince has asked for her hand in exchange for the manpower to get her father back, she goes to take his hand in marriage. Along the way she learns that she has a strong magical power, and many people resent her for it. Many challenges come her way and she will have to be brave enough to face and beat them.

To me, Emariya was a wonderful character because of her hidden strength and courage. The story is told from her point of view and I believe that this makes the story that much more enchanting and believable. I liked that characteristics the author gave her and how she characterizes her throughout the story with the use of emotions. I liked how genuine the author made Emariya and how she wasn’t false in her emotions and towards other people.

I also loved all the other characters that were involved in the story. I thought that the author used them to the best they could be and it turned out wonderful. I loved the drama and emotions they added to the book. They made the story more realistic and future readers will fall in love with them. 

I fell in love with the plot the further I got through the book. I was dragged into the setting and story line until I couldn’t put the book down. Everything about this story is enchanting and makes me want to read and re-read. Anyone can enjoy the plot of this book and many people will become sucked into the drama.

I can’t wait to read more books by this author and publisher. I hope to see some side stories that will add to the series.
