The Fix Up
Reviews

Read this in like two hours, it was very fast paced and that kinda made me not feel the attraction of the characters. But like i said it was a short book, so atleast I was doen quick

Loved it.

Slow burn with lots of ups and downs and all around d heartwarming

So I definitely didn't know what to expect going into this book because of the blurb and my own preconceived notions because of the blurb. But basically I thought this book was going to be completely different than it was and I'm glad this book decided to be unusual and blow my expectations out of the water. The Fix Up is basically about this British guy (and obviously the fact that he's British is really central to the novel because it makes him like 10x hotter) who finds out he's got an inheritance, but only if he's married within 6 months. And this guy is going from no relationship ties to marriage, so understandably he's a little freaked out and doesn't know where to start. So he calls in an expert (aka Camryn) to help him find a wife in six months. That's the basis of the story broken down in really simple terms because a lot of things I definitely didn't expect went down in between all that fluff up above. A LOT! The thing I definitely liked about this book was the fact that the characters were friends before they got together, so there's this element of comfort and friendship that plays into their relationship and adds an extra sweetness to the usual romance stories we see today. Camryn was a character I really liked because she was determined to do things her own way and didn't get caught up in the hype around Sterling through out this experience. There was a little of a forbidden romance because of Sterling's situation of having to find a wife and the fact Camryn is helping him find his bride to be. Scandalous! Overall this was a really fun read for me! I liked the characters and how their situations advanced the plot as they each tried to fit their own goals into this one job. Definitely a book worth checking out!
