3.75 ★ for me! logan is a hockey player in his rookie year, after some personal issues get the best of him, he ends up on a long suspension from the team. in order to return to the team, he has to talk with a sport therapist, enter summer. summer follows logan back to his hometown in colorado where she tries to get him to open up and deal with the issues he’s been facing on and off the ice. while she’s staying with his family, she has to deal with a uncooperative logan and his meddlesome (but sweet) mother. since logan is her client, summers growing feelings for him are definitely a conflict she has to figure out how to deal with. i expect when i pick up a kendall ryan book that it will be a super cute and light hearted romance with some cheesy moments. i expect characters to fall in love fast and i’m willing to suspend reality for the cute story. but this one was honestly a little much for me, a little too unrealistic. i felt like the characters had only a couple big moments and barely knew each other before they decided they were in love. just felt a little rushed to me! all in all a cute book, but so far my least favorite in this series.

I totally loved this book!! I was hooked up from the beginning with Logan and Summer’s story. They were wonderful together and I loved how Logan was able to change his behavior thanks to Summer’s appearance. At first she just wanted to help him as a job but little by little she realized he was more than that and they were both able to share the things that troubled them. Logan had a difficult season thanks to his father’s death so after being suspended for eight games he goes to visit his family where Summer arrives in order to help him. He’s reluctant to share his problems with her but she was really sweet and caring so in no time they were sharing stories about their families and spending time together. I loved how Logan’s family was with Summer, they made her feel very welcome and she loved feeling like she was a part of their family. I enjoyed their scenes together and how they couldn’t deny their attraction. They spent only 2 weeks together but that was enough for them to care about the other and while they fought to stay away, at the end they both deserved to be together. Now I can’t wait to start the final book of the series and finally read Saint’s story.
