I listened to the audiobook and I enjoyed it however I do not enjoy miscommunication/not communicating tropes soo I want to rate it 3 1/2 stars.

I tend to get a little nervous when picking up a new author but I do have to say that The Room Mate was delightful and refreshing and such a ligthearted and sexy romance that was a great diversion from the stresses of life.

Basically this is the story in the title...or the title is the STORY. LOL So our hero, Cannon, has a crazy ex girlfriend who has forced him to be evicted from his own apartment, his sister convinces her best friend to take him in. Paige knows that Cannon is forbidden fruit, considering that he is her best friends brother. But I did love the set up of the story. Because we have a woman who has the hots for her new roomie. A room mate that she has known most of her life. But she doesn't remember him being so goodlooking or tempting before. Both Canon and Paige have this strong chemistry and for the first part of the story they resist what connection they do feel. But the moment that they decide to act on their attraction, their relationship takes a different turn. But soon Cannon and Paige will have to decide if their love is worth fighting for....

I truly had a blast with this fun and quick read. I wouldn't say that it would rate a five star by any means, but it truly was quite refreshing and fun and the type of story that will relax you and make you laugh when you most need it. The narration was pretty wonderful, I really liked seeing both these narrators become such a perfect pair. Both of them have pleasant to the ear voices. And they handled the change in character voices quite well and even though its a shorter read, its definitely a fun diversion. I will be reading more of this author and soon!!

What a great listen, and read. I've read it before but this was a wonderful audiobook to enjoy.
This love story, is sweet and emotional. The ending. The final sentence, just yes.

2.8- too much sex, not enough story for my taste. Characters were fun but their relationship was boring other than the physical. Sad day :(

His best friend's little sister is all grown up … and ready to play in a whole new way. Smith Hamilton has it all—he's smart, good-looking and loaded. But he remembers a time when he had nothing and no one, so he's not about to mess up, especially with his best friend’s little sister. That means keeping Evie at arm's length … even though the once pesky little girl is now a buxom bombshell. A sexy blonde who pushes his self-control to the limit the night she crawls into bed with him. Evie Reed knows she's blessed—with an exclusive education, a family who loves her, and a new job managing social media for her family's lingerie company. But she wants more, like a reason to wear the sexy lingerie herself. She has just the man in mind to help with that. She's crushed on Smith forever. Surely tricking her way into his bed will force him to see her in a new, adult way. Except that when Evie's plan leads to disaster, she and Smith must decide—ignore the attraction sizzling between them, or become play mates and risk it all.
