Back to the small island of Widow's Peak and its unnaturally high murder rate! Cate left the FBI years ago after being shot but one case has always haunted her. When a morbid package is left for her, she is drawn back into the fold to finally put the case to rest. Her fiancee, Henry, the local GP and coroner is dragged in too. Because there is no way he is letting her do this herself - he may patch up people for a living but he can still back up his love. I highly reccomend this series. Each book is little snapshot of life on this little island and how the characters all interact with each other. Henry is great as the stalwart fiancee, trying to ensure that Cait doesn't get sucked down a rabbit hole. There may be triggers for a few people: child physical abuse/neglect, domestic abuse I received a copy from the publisher via NetGalley and have decided to leave this review of my own volition
