“Dear Reader
Phobia is an 18,000 word novella set after the events in Nocticadia. The setting and tone of this short story is a complete departure from Nocticadia, and echoes my gritty contemporary books. I did not intend to write a second book for Caed and Bee, as Nocticadia was meant to remain a standalone, so please know before diving in that this will not be a full story. It’s merely a glimpse of these two characters and nothing more.”

I feel like you have to rate it fo what it is and this is for sure an amazing little novella, I (like everyone else) reaaly do wish that they got their own book. Their story would have been soooo good and soooo compelling, like i started this and ended it in one go. This maaaaaaan😍🥹

Even after reading the description and knowing it was not a full story, I am still left yearning for the reveals that are sure to accompany this storyline but we’re not included in the novella. With the shocking crossover between Nocticadia and the characters of this excerpt I just know that it would have been epically entertaining to have the connections between them revealed and considering it is impossible for the mmc to not realize whom he was getting involved with I would have loved to see how he came across her in the first place and how the fmcs sister would have reacted to finding out her man’s brother is involved with her sister- crazy. I mean come on Keri you could have at least given us a pov chapter from Caed…. If I am being honest I am not sure why this “novella” was even released seeing as nothing of any significance was included. This is disappointing coming from someone who loves a good 100 page “where are they now” follow up novella.
