this book is so cute and easy to get through. while it has that familiar wattpady feels, it didn’t have any cringeworthy elements, making it a fun read.

i really admired harper's straightforwardness. i  appreciate an fmc who knows exactly what she wants and carries herself with such composure. on the other hand, i deeply relate to luca's tendency to shut down and be avoidant. it was also a huge plus that all the side characters were wonderful, like there wasn't a single annoying one in the entire book. the communication in this book is spot on.

the slow burn and tension were definitely present, building anticipation as the story progressed. but, the resolution and how the story concluded weren’t as satisfying as i’d hoped. their relationship leaned more towards the serious side, which meant there wasn't much playful banter. i didn't feel like i gained much insight or emotional depth from their story.

overall, it's a sweet and charming read. i would recommend if you're looking for a quick, lighthearted summer story.

It was a cute light read.
It's missing something but i don't know what exactly.

spring tide is the perfect little fluff book with a bit of smut mixed in. I’ve been reading a lot of christmas smut lately (lol) and this was perfect to break it up! I thought the fake dating was well done and the progression of luca and harper’s love story was so adorable. the angst happened later in the book than I anticipated so it really took me by surprise when it happened! 4/5 stars simply cause I wanted more from certain parts of the book. just wanted to see more of luca’s family and harper’s and their past and a bit more background. but their love story was so sweet. overall this book confirmed I really enjoy sports romances and you should all check out ki stephen’s first novel!!
