When you're in the thick all your life, living in ways you eventually figure out no one else is, you learn to sleep well in heat and eat fire. Until one day it's all you need.

the. backstories. istg- this was amazing!, i read it for the 4th time and still smacks like the 1st time.

from corrupt-hideaway, damon scared the hell out of me but i don't think i've never hated him? bc i always felt he had reasons. this book shows damon’s side so well seeing damon with will, nik and rika, fuck i almost couldn’t handle bc it was amazing and sad and just everything, truly don't know how to describe this book;

Winter and Damon are great. At first I didn’t remember who Winter was until it brought up the video. The book dove deep into Damon’s character and how he lives his life and while I hated him at first, he’s one of my favorites now. He found somebody to live for and Winter found somebody to die for. I was hoping for more surrounding Damon and Will but from what we got- i.e. the wrestling scene and the shower scene- was satisfying enough. I love the remorse they felt and how Damon and Winter were both forced to find each other again and confront their feelings. It was a great story and great romance.

I have no words to describe it. I absolutely adore Winter and Damon. 
I waited over a year for the release of this book but the results were worth the wait.

the book was kind of hard to read because of damon's state with winter's older sister WHO antagonise her at every chance she gets, i hate her with passion. 

i feel like penelope douglas is guilt tripping us by making damon's storyline so miserable that we sympathise him really bad, it works for me though. this book makes me love damon so much, though the previous book did play some role to entice curiosity towards him. 

if anything, i really want to experience damon personally. the rollercoaster ride he drove, the adventure, the witty and funny remarks he delivered, the possessiveness, the obsession. god, i love their story so much.

oh my gosh. this book!!!! damon. ugh. i was in literal tears throughout this book. their entire group has so many messed up this bus damon? ugh. i enjoyed this book the most out of the series so far. damon is by far my favorite of the horsemen. i have such a soft spot for him. immediately moving on to the next.

I loved hearing Damon's backstory and his struggle learning how to feel different emotions properly. I think it was really clever that, to Winter, colours were emotions. It was probably a good way for him to recognise his own feelings and categorise them to figure out how to best feel them. The whole plot with Winter being blind was just genius on behalf of the author (and having Damon sneak around her was just extra spicy). While tragic, Damon's childhood gave readers a new perspective on someone we previously despised. I don't have it in me to forgive Damon for what he's done, but at least now I know why. Even though it was so long, it did manage to keep me hooked the entire time, which really isn't surprising for this series.

I am speechless. 
Kill Switch is my favorite book so far in the series. I doubt the rest of the books will top this one, but oh well, only time will tell.
This book broke my heart, gave me butterflies, and mindfucked me. For the first time in my life, I pulled an all-nighter just because I could not put a book down. I am obsessed, mesmerized, addicted, and this story took me on a rollercoaster of emotions. 
Winter is wonderful, brilliant, and pretty much every single beautiful word I can think of. I LOVED her character. I loved Winter and Damon together. I feel for Damon so much. I loved the more emotional side of him. Honestly, I adore them both and I have nothing else to say except this might have just become a new favorite of mine amongst Penelope's books.

Do I now love Damon after this book? Also yes. 

Only Penelope Douglas could make me hate a character to absolutely loving them within three books.
