Kobane calling

Ironico e allo stesso tempo informativo. Zerocalcare riesce, in modo impressionamene realistico, a raccontare e a far vedere ciò che ha vissuto e ciò che vivono i Kurdi in Medio Oriente, dove guerra e distruzione sono quotidiane. Una storia ovviamente soggettiva, ma che ci fa conscere una parte del mondo e una parte della guerra contro l'ISIS che spesso in Occidente viene nascosta o raccontata in parte. Ne avevo sentito parlare molto bene di questa graphic novel e non mi ha deluso. Leggetelo, ne scoprirete una storia vera quanto tragica.

I really enjoy the medium of autobiographical memoir comics that tackle an individual's reactions to issues far bigger than their ordinary lives. In this book, the author travels throughout Syria and attempts to understand the politics behind the Kurdish resistance. Obviously, this is not a perfect overview of this issue, but it is an interesting way to explore and learn about how the Kurds are being treated.
