it was just a cute, simple read for me. sadly, this was not fantasy and was not filled with world building and complex characters. i feel like the cover does not match the plot. also, the romance was very cringey. the story is predictable and the characters are cliche and boring. 
this book blurb sounds like something I would enjoy very much, but didn’t. ngl it had potential for something great.

This was a quick and cute read. More than once I wanted to shake the main characters though. I feel like a lot of this book was then pinning after each other to say no I can’t and then go back again. Cute little book though

Wow I think I have a a new favorite author and romance book. This was such a delight to read! I had never read a dystopian romance before but wow I very much enjoyed it! First of all, I liked the dystopian setting. It's a pretty generic one but I'm glad it was (though I do want to know a little more about the Desolation). This book is primarily a romance and wow it's so swoony! Davin is the perfect dream guy and Emree is the perfect girl for him. Coming from two different classes, they fall in love and understand each other. I appreciate there not being any unnecessary drama and the conflicts that happened made sense. I didn't find myself irritated with anyone and found them all likeable. If you want something fun, quick, and sweet to read, pick up this one! I gave this a HIGH 4 star rating.
