Again, the art just continues to get better and better. Even now, looking back at the first volume, the difference in the art's quality is remarkable. I'm enjoying how all of the goddesses are meshing together when conflict rears it's head and how their different talents effect those around them.

Mara Strikes Back!

In this volume, despite being entitled 'Mara Strikes Back', Mara is only present in the final chapter - and even then, it's her latest minion that does the mischief. The art continues to show definite improvement. I could go on for hours about how much better his anatomy has gotten within the last two volumes. And how he draws hair? I'm still in love with it. Not a lot happens regarding overall plot in this book, but Keiichi and Belldandy are still shyly declaring their love for each other. Once they accept that, as I recall, the plot arcs get more interesting again.

Having read through these before, I had completely forgotten about Stringfellow, the romantically inclined broom. Yeah, you read that right. He's a broom. You also get another of the ridiculous team-ups with Sayoko and Mara. Additionally, you also get to see Skuld's angel for the first time. (She's ridiculously cute.) Can I just say again how beautiful the art in this manga series has gotten? It's stunning now, and I know it only gets better from there.

Oh My Goddess!.

The demon trials continue in this novel as the group works to repair what's been done to Nifelheim. Using various logical judgements and skills, the team manages to get past two doors and closer to Hagal.
