Each chapter is a night time rendezvous of Ko and someone. Usually it's Nazuma but sometimes it's a neighbor and classmate (if Ko actually went to school). Along with the conversations he has while out and about at night, he spends time ruminating on life and the human / vampire condition. Ko needs to decide which route to take: continue with his nocturnal life or follow his classmate back to school.
