STOLEN FROM HER TIME When a crazed werewolf crashes her wedding, Kereny “Ren” Codrina does what any cunning huntress would do: she captures him. Yet she finds herself softening toward the wounded beast—until he turns the tables and forces her into an incomprehensible future. CAN A HUMAN AND AN IMMORTAL UNITE IN ORDER TO SURVIVE? As danger mounts, Munro will do anything to make her undying, even sell his soul to an evil sorceress. But first he must convince his fiery mate that she belongs with him. If seduction means her survival, Munro will use every weapon in his arsenal to possess her—forever.

Munro is the latest installment in the "IAD" series and I had been really excited to pick this one up and decided to do this one in audiobook. I had heard the narration was really wonderful so I took a risk on this one and even though this is a solid read, this book didn't quite work for me. There were some factors within the story that I had a more challenging time working with.

Munro has many elements that will work for fans of the series but to be honest I am kind of exhausted with these type of heroines that are so prickly and unrelatable and always trying to kill their men covers face I know this will really win over some readers but I feel like many of the heroines in this series all feel the same to me. And it's also possible the narrator just ruined the book for me since I just couldn't get behind the heroine at all. She just was so rough around the edges and so hard and not very likeable for me. There were also some plot holes in the story that I didn't expect to bother me but rubbed me the wrong way. I loved finally getting to know Munro's book but it also felt like something was missing here. There are aspects of time travel in this one which was a bit confusing in how it developed the plotline. There is some wonderful aspects of action and thrilling moments that will keep you on edge of course. This author has always been able to build intensity throughout her books. So I really appreciated some aspects of how the world building and atmospheric vibes were developed throughout the story.

But overall, while this book was a solid read, it didn't quite work for me all of the way through and would have appreciated the heroine being better developed.

Sitting here blinking at that epilogue! I have followed Kresley Cole and the IAD world for years, she has created a beautiful world and characters I love. This book had a slow build but the end came swinging. Not my favorite couple in the series but one I will definitely be revisiting and soon

For this, I'm going to need to take a big breath. I can't believe I finished an 18-book series that I enjoyed, despite several rushed endings. I found Munro's book to be a little dragging at first, but I eventually got into it. Lothaire and Ellie are the funniest as ever. Kresley Cole's world-building absolutely wowed me. Like wow. I'm also looking forward to Nïx's book, and my thoughts keep returning to how lovely she looks with Orion. But, given the number of characters that need to be written and the fact that Nïx's novel will almost certainly take place during the Accession, we'll probably get her book in 2050 at the most. I officially entered where I'd be staring at the ceiling while waiting for them to come and I don't like it here.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. I am fairly new to the world of the Immortals After Dark, but I had a fair idea of what to expect from the latest installment, Munro, and it did not disappoint. Although this is the nineteenth book in the series, it can stand on its own. I do plan to go back and read the remaining books in the series. It’s my understanding that Munro has been overdue for almost 4 years and fans were champing at the bit, awaiting its release. In my humble opinion, it was worth the wait. The story hidden in the pages of this book possessed all the elements for an excellent read. Great plot, awesome characters, an entertaining storyline, a steamy romance and enough action to keep readers turning the pages. It proved a difficult one to put down. No regrets here regarding the loss of sleep. I will say nothing about the plot for fear of spoilers. However, if you are a fan of the series, then I believe you would enjoy Munro. If you are new to the series and love paranormal romance, then this would make a great addition to your library. As one would expect, characters from the previous books made an appearance. Now, after meeting them, I look forward to their stories. Especially Lothaire’s story. I had a great time getting to know the hero and the heroine. Munro MacReive sure met his match in Kereny Codrina. No shrinking violet here. Strong, independent, a warrior and a leader in her own right. Munro is an alpha male through and through. His actions may appear possessive and controlling, but most of the time, he acted out of fear. Deep down, he was a sweetheart who would do anything to protect his mate. I enjoyed their interactions which were sprinkled with humour, snark, clashes and heat. They were not perfect as they both made mistakes along the way and this made them relatable. Despite the many hiccups and challenges they faced (and there were many) in their journey to becoming mates, they proved a formidable team. Now, while Munro and Kereny’s story wrapped up nicely, events occurring throughout the story indicated the series was far from over. I can't wait to see what next the series has to offer. Conclusion/Recommendation Fans of Cole will love Munro. It will whet your appetite and leaves you salivating for more. It’s a story which shows that with true love comes sacrifice. Get ready to have your senses titillated in the world of The Immortals After Dark. This review was originally posted on Totally Addicted to Reading
