Unlike the slightly cliché nature of the suspense in "The Edge of Recall," this suspense avoided all cliché and also dealt with real spiritual issues such as how will you deal with a traumatic loss such as the loss of a limb when it actually happens to you? So often, many Christians can look on such a situation from afar and say that they will be able to deal with it without losing their faith or even doubting just a little. Heitzmann deals with just such a struggle in a believable manner.
Heitzmann developed all the characters, save the villain, extremely well. (I really wish that authors would spend a little more time trying to create believable villains.)
I enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down.
It survived round two of the "purge" of my personal collection.
