           Redeemed was a mediocre ending for a very long series.

House of Night started out as an incredible series I was obsessed with as a teenager, and as the series went on and on and on and on and on (quite literally, look at how many books there are), the series began to get slower, more boring, and plots seemed to get reused or extended extra long.

I wasn't entirely impressed with this book, but it left the audience with an ending (which everyone was hoping for a very long time ago). I wasn't impressed with how some of the relationships ended (who was with who) due to the fact some of them seemed random and like they would not fit together. I also wasn't impressed with the deaths of some characters, it helped move the plot line forward a bit, but it seemed more random - not like it was planned out to have some meaning to the story like many of the previous deaths in other books. I didn't like how the main character seemed to have everybody against her at all times and only her could solve every single problem. I was not impressed with most of this novel, to be honest. The list goes on.

What was I impressed with? It was the final book and they summed it up. They gave a little ending to show that the characters continue on doing good work for the world. It was nice.

Overall, I wasn't impressed. This series had helped me grow during my elementary and high school years so I had hoped for something grand and big, but it was more flat.

I have no idea why the fuck did i force myself to finish this series. The books sucked ever since the 4th one to the end.

I hate how they "defeated" Neferet. Bitch deserved some pain. And a good killing. Oh well.

And I fucking hate that Erik ended with... Hell, I still can't learn her name.

           Garbage. Hot garbage. That’s all I have to say. The ending was such bullshit. Neferet barely put up a fight which is crap because she was murdering left and right this whole time, yet barely landed any blows at the end?? Ok. I don’t like to leaves things unfinished so I’m just happy to finally be done with this series.

Amazing ending to the House Of Night series. This series has been with me since I was 9th grade (2008) and I fell in love with it instantly. It is very long, which I had trouble with and at times, I wanted to stop reading the series but I am glad I never gave up. This book did justice to the whole series.

It is definitely worth it to read the series once again. So many events happen in this book, different points-of-views in third person... And can I just say, I LOVE Kalona. Nyx and Kalona are my OTP along with Stevie Rae and Rephaim (yes, i have two OTPs).

Meh. Kind of a let down for it being the final book in the series. Though I am happy for Kalona and Aurox got their redemption. So much build up for an underwhelming finish. I honestly wish they would have killed off Stark instead of Aurox.

I've done it, I'm through.
The series in general really isn't that bad.
BUT the main reason I finished it was basically just to finish it.
ANYWAYS I did enjoy it.
It wrapped up quite well.

A House of Night Novel

Zoey finds herself at a complete loss of who she is, having done something she highly regrets and Nefert has completely gone off the rails, taking an outright attack on Tulsa and forcing those to do her bidding. A lot is happening in this last installment, but yet I find myself feeling meh about the whole thing. Not bored but not excited either.
There are some pretty good tense scenes that keep a reader's interest. The battle between good and evil and how it is waged

The end of this series has been a really long time coming. I'm part of the crowd that fully believes that the middle of this series was just filler bullpoopie. But I stuck around because I loved the beginning of the series, I loved the characters, and on a much more personal note because I used to read this series with a friend of mine who passed away and every time I pick up one of these books it's an instant reminder of our chats about our favorite characters and what we thought would happen next.

This was an amazing end to this series. Probably the best written and thought out book since around book 5 or 6. Everything that I wanted the answers to, I received. Everything I hoped would happen, pretty much happened. But the answers weren't exactly as I thought they would be and things didn't happen the way I had expected. 

Honestly this book read more like a horror novel than a YA novel. The things that Neferet did are outstandingly mind blowing. I knew she was evil and bat shit crazy, but I hadn't expected her to be THAT evil and bat shit crazy. I just don't understand how the rest of the Vampyre world was able to ignore her and leave some teenagers to figure it out, but I digress. 

There was FINALLY character progression. Things changed in everyone and even Z noticed this change and mentioned it to herself while in thought. That in itself was quite a beautiful thing and a long time coming. I'm still kind of reeling from the end and how everything came to be. It's a lot to process. There's always a lot to process at the end of a series but this is one of a very few that I've read since the beginning and have waited years to see how it ends. Usually I'm years behind the bandwagon and I'll read an entire series in a week or two. It's completely different when you're trying to piece together a puzzle from memories from years and years ago.

I may come back to this review as time goes on and add to it. Right now I'm still kind of melding with it in my mind. I definitely think that if you've been reading this series and you've stuck around this long it is worth picking up and reading the end. After I finished the book I sat for about 20 minutes on my couch with just tears rolling down my face. I know I have more of an emotional attachment to this series than I have others but I always hate the end of a series, it's like you're leaving friends that you'll never see again.

Maybe that makes me crazy, that I get all emotionally attached to someone's made up characters, but I'm totally okay with that. I fully believe that every book you read becomes a part of who you are. The written word can change you just as much as things that happen in real life. All I know for certain is that there will always be a part of me that is a member of the Nerd Herd, that longs to hear (or read) Aphrodite saying "The Herd of Nerds rides again,".

This series went on way too long for me. The antagonist in almost all 12 books in the series and the main characters keep asking Zoey what proof she has that its Neferet behind everything that's going wrong (This may have occurred in one of the previous books but it's still annoying.) She's be behind everything in all of the books even when Kalona was supposed to be an antagonist she was the reason he was there.
