The amnesia concept was intriguing for a romance. Especially considering the animosity between the couple following a break up. I couldn’t cope with Clementine constantly referring to herself with memories as her past self like it was another person. It was weird and felt strange to read. I knew this wouldn’t be an amazing read anyway just a fun romance but I just wasn’t feeling it.

So this is an adult romance with second chance, exes to lovers trope AND mc with amnesia. It's everything i needed. Really chef's kiss. 

Except the smut scenes which were written a bit awkwardly but other than that it was cute and funny i loved the mc and the main couple's relationship

When she goes to visit her former boyfriend, Ed Larsen, she gets an angry reception that she doesn't expect as he escorts her out of his tattoo parlor. Clem doesn't remember the devastating break-up that is still very recent in Ed's mind, but he is one of the few people, along with her sister, that she can count on to tell her who she is and what her life was like before the attack. While she and Ed once again grow closer, Clem must put her past behind her and start a new life even though her attacker is still out there. Vandalism on Clem's car leads Ed and her sister to believe that she would be safer living with him.

Repeat is my first book by Kylie Scott, and I liked the dynamic between the characters. Clem's amnesia provides a good reason to review her relationship with Ed and the other people in her life. The decision to move Clem in with Ed seems a bit odd since her sister is a police officer, but the long hours that she is working at the station make it more palpable. The other weakness of this book is the fairly obvious solution to the mystery, but these factors are not central to the story and do not outweigh the enjoyment of watching these two likable characters make their way back to each other or the build up of suspense as the story nears its conclusion. Overall, Repeat is a good story with an excellent romance.
