Summary

The Hero 
Ben Nicholson, is the bass player of Stage Dive. He is the only bachelor left, but he also craves his freedom. Ben loves the parties and the women and the drinking. He loves his care free life, with no obligations except to his music and his family and his rock band brothers. Outside of that everything else is fair game…at least that is what he thought before a bombshell was dropped in his lap and his life changed forever. He never imagined that he would find himself being a father, and soon responsiblity is heaped on him, but there is one person that is his rock…Lizzy Rollins. Ben was such a great hero. He is sexy, talented, loves music, dedicated and carefree and playful. He is sex on wheels and doesn’t mind everyone knowing that.

The Heroine 
Lizzy Rollins, is the sister to Anne, wife to Mal (good ole Mal–*grins*). Lizzy wants to be a psychologist, and wants to help those in need. There is a part of her that wants what her sister has but doesn’t know when or if it will happen. But then she meets Ben, and she knows that she will never feel anything close to what she feel for Ben for anyone else. So she does what any woman does…chase after her prey, only it ends up with consequences that she doesn’t see coming. Consequences that could cause a rift between Ben and the band. Lizzy is independent and passionate, she is driven and has a gentle sweet spirit. I have adored her ever since we see her in the previous book. She has a quality to her that you find down to earth and likable, the type of character you could have tea with on a lazy afternoon.

Plot and Story Line 
Deep starts off with learning that Lizzy is pregnant, and the way that the whole band learns…is unique and not what I ever saw coming. Deep is the fourth installment of the series, and what an installment. It just might be my favorite one, or it ties with “Play”. Deep draws you completely in with the first chapter, and then it takes us to when they first meet, and the slow friendship that builds between them with the “secret” communications. Some of these texts..are hilarious and jeez do these two really like each other. But they don’t act on it till one fateful night. I like how entertained I felt through this whole book, and I just breezed through it, I mean this series is amazing, and Deep I just couldn’t put down. Reading Deep makes me want to re read this series again…so amazingly good. The pace of the story is pretty intense at the beginning, but then it takes it to a down low when you see them building up their connection. Then we get to the good part…seeing these two try to work things out not just with each other, but man…does the band have some surprises for you with their reactions…and Mal knows how to hold a grudge LOL. Deep was a very emotional story, and my heart just went with these two…but most especially Lizzy. Quite Frankly in the beginning, seeing how Ben deals with it, well he is a jerk. Let’s be honest…he treats her pretty horribly. But he definitely proves himself, and redeems himself to me. I love the way that his reactions are very vividly realistic, and you see how this would be how a normal person would react. You see the variety of emotions that is normal for human nature. You definitely see how these two find their way back to each other, and its a very slow and steady process. I loved the way that this story developed and you see quite a bit of depth in it, a depth that I didn’t know if I would see. But this story satisfied every romantic craving I had, and the ending…oh my…I won’t share a thing, but WOW…totally blew me away.

Now I do like a good tattoo, but it has to be done right, not just any normal tattoo will do for me. But this cover is drop dead gorgeous…I mean enough to leave you drooling. Who wouldn’t love this cover and not want to buy it right?

Overall View 
Quite a fun and sexy romance that will leave you breathless and in want for more from this author. Deep is a tantalizing love story, of full depth of emotions, steamy passion, a roller coaster of a ride, and a wham bam of a romance!! RIVETING!!

i feel like rating this a little lower just because i honestly absolutely hate anything pregnancy-related in books, accidental or otherwise. why did i read it then, you ask? well, i wanted to finish the series, and i was curious about it anyway ... it was dealt with pretty good, and but i didn't really love either of the main characters either. it was a TAD too angsty just bc the love interest was a little ... much with his stubbornness for a little bit. but it resolved pretty fast. idk. shrug.

I hadn’t been sure I was interested in reading Jimmys book. He had been a total arsehole previously and I was happy to see him going into recovery and get clean but it was still difficult to want to see his HEA when it felt like he needed to make amends. He definitely needed Lena in his life to help him look at his past and realise the baggage he’s carrying. 

I’m glad I read eventually as once I started I wanted to punch Jimmy but I could totally see why Lena fell for him. I was hooked and laughing at their back and forth and then ready to swing when he fell back to being an arsehole.

My biggest complaint was the final act break up was so late in the game it felt rushed them getting back together. Maybe one more chapter was needed to make me completely happy but still totally loved it.

So, I almost cried when I realised this series was over. Thats how much it broke my heart. I accidentally stumbled upon these books when I read an excerpt from Jimmy's book on a fellow book-blog. I was like, hmm.. this sounds interesting. But I'm an anal person and thus have to read everything in order so I went back to David's book and devoured that in one sitting. My little sweetheart, David. Then I got Mal's book and can I say I have never laughed at a book so hard as I did at the bed-breaking scene. I fell off my bed laughing for ten minutes straight. I nearly peed my pants thats how funny it was. I was then sceptical about Jimmy's book, knowing what we did from David's book. This asshole, this big bear softie asshole. I fell madly in love with Jimmy and Lena was just a fellow badass curvy chick. My heart solely belongs to Jimmy, with David being in close second. These Ferris brothers. God.

So, I was sad going into Ben's book as I didn't want it to be over. I bought the paperback, but growing impatient with waiting to receive it in the mail I bought the ebook when it released as well. And I don't regret a single penny.

I think it's fair to say everybody knew that something was going to happen between these two - hell, that restaurant scene in Lead, we all knew who Ben was texting. 

I devoured this book in one sitting. It was just an incredible ending to the end of the series - and introduced us to characters in the next series. I loved this book. I loved Lizzy, Ben and his commitment issues (can you blame him with having Martha as his sister). And this surprised me as well - I actually liked Martha. I mean, yes she's still an incredible bitch, but she was also hilarious in this book. And that labour scene, she was badass. Am I suspecting a book for her and Sam in the spinoff series? Me thinks so.

Lizzy has wiped her hands off of Ben in the beginning of the book, and to be honest I'm not surprised. He was an asshole, and not a charming one at that. The amount of times I wanted to put my hand through my e-reader and then through his face was unreal. He was just irritating at times. But I still fell in love with this big bear bass player. Despite the heroine being pregnant, this was still a slow-love story between the two main characters and I enjoyed that immensely.

And can I just say how badass Sam was in this book - him telling off Martha was hot and had me tingling. Something tells me this alpha-man would be awesome if he was ever to have his own book.

I loved this series and am so sad to see it end. I feel like crying now writing this review for the final book in the series. This is seriously depressing. Guys, you need to read this amazing series about a close-knit group of friends and family.

I first discovered this series last year, and book 1 in the series was the book that got me out of a major book funk.

A bit sad to see the series come to an end. And I have to say, I had been a bit nervous to read this book. I tend to find, books I look forward to and am waiting for, just cannot live up to the anticipation. 

I am not in general a huge fan of "rock star" romances. They just normally do not grab my interest, but again, have loved this entire series.

Again, a bit nervous to read this, especially as I had read some reviews where readers had been disappointed. 

But, I loved this. It was a perfect end to the series, and even though before the book, I had no real idea of Ben as a person, even though we had no Ben POV in this book, I still had more of a feel for him as a person and his history. Although I did feel that I could have had more. Truly get to know him.

However, I truly enjoyed their story, even when Ben was being a bit of a block head, I did not dislike him. Yes he struggled with the news, but even while he was trying to run, he felt the connection to Lizzy. And I liked how we went back to them meeting, and getting some of their text exchanges, and first started building a connection.

And Lizzy, I do love how this author can write very likeable female characters. She rocked and I loved her.

With humour typical of this series, it was a brilliant end to a perfectly enjoyable series.

Loved Lick, loved Play even more.

Have to admit, was not all fired up to read Jimmy's book, given his character in previous books (in fact I have had this sat on the kindle since release waiting to read it), but I shouldn't have worried.

Admittedly, the first 30% I was wondering where the romance was, it seemed more like a story of unrequited love, and I was hoping we could get inside Jimmy's head to see what he was thinking.

But you know what? Kylie Scott is a genius, because as I read on, it worked.

The way the relationship built up, the little hints we got, that Jimmy was not as unaffected by Lena as he pretended to be, pure brilliance.

I adored Lena. One of the best heroines I have ever read in a book. She was funny and sarcastic and fully able to acknowledge Jimmy's flaws, and call him out for them, while giving him something he needed. And Jimmy, I did not think I would, but I loved him just as much. You realise how broken he is, and so much more than he appeared to be. 

An excellent addition to the series and I loved seeing more of the previous couples too. You get just enough of them, to make you happy enough to see them and "check in" with where they are, but not enough to take away from the current couple. 

I usually like to make notes on my kindle, of my favourite bits but in this book, I ended up with countless notes marked, and I cannot pick out of the many, any to put here. 

Also, fruit in pie counts as fruit! In the same way as a Jaffa Cake counts as 1 of my five a day (due to the orangey goodness you see)

Basically a fantasy where having a one night stand, ending up pregnant, and being only 22 lands you a hot, womanizing rock star who changes his ways because YOU'RE THE ONE. A fun thought, but the plot was so thin that I couldn't enjoy the fantasy. Character development didn't go much beyond basics.

However, for those who enjoy rock and roll romance with a focus on the sex scenes versus the characters, go ahead and enjoy! Just not really for me.

I've enjoyed each book in Kylie Scott's Stage Dive series so far, even though they've all had very different vibes. I love the characters. They're entirely their own and unique. They're imperfect and they have quirks, but it's impossible not to fall for them. Lead is by far the most serious book to date and there was just so much MORE to it than the others. (Totally not dissing Lick & Play... I have thoroughly enjoyed each of them!) But Lead just delves into more serious issues and, as a result, has more feels and emotions than the other two. It does this all while not getting overly angsty and still maintaining the humor and sexiness I've come to expect from this series. 

I loved Lena. She was strong and sassy and a perfect match, both professionally and otherwise, for Jimmy. Jimmy was a mess. (But I freaking adored him!) A former addict with a whole lot of baggage, he was in need of a strong hand. Lena brought that to him. I loved the dynamic between these two. Rather than the "love/lust at first sight" so common in books in this genre, their relationship had time to develop and was much more powerful, to me anyhow, because of that. Of course, I was also really, really rooting for sexy times and it took a little longer to get to that point than I might typically like, but it just felt right in this case. What started as a professional relationship developed into friendship and slowly moved even past that. Mistakes were made. Serious issues were dealt with. It was real and believable and I was completely captivated. I was with them from the start – through the good and the bad, the ugly and the sweet, the fights and the sexiness. I felt every feel and dealt with every emotion. 

While Kylie Scott definitely landed on my "authors to watch" list with Lick, she's moved up to my auto-buy author list now. I've never been a huge fan of "rocker romances," but I will absolutely make an exception for this series. It may be because, while sometimes they hit the stereotypes, there's so much to them under it all. They're complex and layered. I love unwrapping them each bit by bit. I can't ask for much more in a book. I'll certainly be eagerly awaiting the fourth book in the Stage Dive series!

I've enjoyed each and every one of the books in Kylie Scott's Stage Dive series and Deep was no exception. I just didn't like the characters in this one as much as some of the previous pairings. Don't get me wrong, it was still a good book, it just didn't hit me quite as much as the first books in the series.

I liked Lizzy. I felt sorry for the situation she was in. Pregnancy after a one-night stand with a man who broke your heart? Brutal. The baby daddy behaving the way Ben did once he found out she was pregnant? Awful. She was young and inexperienced in a lot of ways. As the back-and-forth with Ben went on, I found myself wanting to hug her... and smack him. 

I know exactly why I didn't enjoy this book as much as the others – because I just never really connected with Ben. I didn't find him that swoony, I spent a good half of the book wanting to smack sense into him, and when it was all said and done, I still didn't think he was all in. Something about the way he handled Lizzy's pregnancy and the back-and-forth that ensued after just rubbed me the wrong way. He did come around a bit at the end, but it was too little too late for me – and I never felt like he was all that invested or genuine. But, in all honesty, it might have been because I didn't connect with him that I called his feelings into question. Either way, I lacked the connection to the love interest that is so important to me while reading a book. 

One thing I really did like about this book was that we got to see a lot of the previous couples in the series. I loved catching up with all of them and, really, they were a bright spot in an otherwise unremarkable (for me) book. Even without the connection to the characters, it was a funny and sexy read – even if it was also frustrating, but I know it's not one that will stick with me for long. I don't think there are any more books planned for this series, but if so, I'll be looking forward to them – and the hope that a check-in with Lizzy and Ben will prove me wrong. 

Deep wasn't my favorite in the series, but I also see I'm pretty much in the minority. If you're a fan of the series, you should definitely still read this one. Who knows – you might love it as much as I wish I had!

Oh, how loooong I’ve waited for this book. Deep is the fourth and final book in the Stage Dive series *cue tears here* and Ben’s story is finally here! Hilarious, wild, exhilarating, and a definite page-turner, Deep will have you sighing (both lusty and frustrated ones), grinning, and swooning until the very last page.

“Fuck you’re pretty,” he sighed. “Make me wish for all sorts of shit I shouldn’t.”

We met Lizzy in Play as Anne’s little sister, and she’s got a bit of a crush on a certain bass player in a certain band. Both Lizzy and Ben feel an off-the-charts chemistry with each other when they meet, but Ben is firmly hands-off Lizzy, since both Anne and Mal would castrate him if he touched her. But after sharing many texts (both sweet and naughty), late-night phone calls, and the like, it’s obvious that something deeper has formed between Lizzy and Ben. And try as they might to keep things at a friendship level, when they go to Vegas for Mal and Anne’s wedding (which is the BEST thing ever), what happens in Vegas doesn’t necessarily stay in Vegas…

So I’d been knocked up by a rock star.

I adored Lizzy. Kylie Scott writes her in such a fresh, unique way, and I was able to feel every single emotion she was feeling – and shocked would be an understatement for how Lizzy feels about being pregnant. My heart went out to Lizzy for her fears/hopes about Ben. Ben’s number one priority has always been his music, so how would he fare being a father? As much as she hopes that they could form a long-lasting, loving relationship, Lizzy knows how Ben is. Time and again he’s hurt her, putting his music and band above all others. Even I was starting to resent Ben a little for how he treated Lizzy. My heart was aching so much for all the hurt Lizzy goes through with Ben, not to mention the pregnancy itself, but I also admired her so much for keeping her head held high. She’s a tough cookie, an admirable heroine, and not much can bring her down.

Oh, Ben. Ben, Ben, Ben. I’m still not sure whether I love him or hate him after finishing this book. Probably a little bit of both. Ben has a hard time dealing with change – and what could be more life-changing than becoming a father? When he finds out about the pregnancy, Ben may be able to support Lizzy financially, but emotionally is a whole ‘nother ball game. I think Ben was just a tad too frustrating over the course of the book for me to actually LOVE love him (like I do Jimmy), but like any red-blooded woman, I can still fully appreciate him as a hot, tatted, bearded man. Kylie Scott knows how to write a man, and she knows how to write him right. Ben is all pure, raw, sexual male, and I was freaking fanning myself over him and his highly erotic beard. As many hang-ups as he has over deeper, emotional things, in bed Ben is pure perfection. It takes a while (a long while actually) for that perfection to move on over to matters of the heart, but when it does, you can expect your own heart to be swept away by him.

“Why do you want me to stay?” I asked, my voice ever so slightly pleading. I didn’t even know what for. Fingers wrapped around my ankles, rubbing gently. “Because of the baby?”
“No,” he said. “Because of everything.”

If you’re a fan of the series, you can expect to see a LOT of Anne and Mal, Jimmy and Lena, and Eve and David. I freaking ADORE this cast of characters Kylie Scott has created – they’re an unforgettable group! And all of them together in one room will always have you in stitches. Mal, the goofball that he is, kills me every time – how is he so funny!?!? God, I seriously love all of these characters, and I’m so sad that Deep is the last book in the Stage Dive series.

Ben and Lizzy’s book had my heart all over the place in an emotional roller coaster, hurting one moment, then swooning the next. Deep has so much good stuff going for it – it’s angsty, emotional, laugh-out-loud hilarious, heartwarming, and gut-wrenching. You just won’t be able to stop feeling when you read this book! I do wish that there was more at the end, that the romance toward the end was expanded upon. Deep ends a bit abruptly, though I still adored what happened at the end. Other than that and my frustrations with Ben, Deep is a highly enjoyable, unputdownable end to the Stage Dive series!
