Several years passed since the last time I read a Jacky Faber book so I forgot many details of the previous books. However, that did not interfere with the plot of the book. I realized as I plodded through the narrative, that each narrative of a Jacky Faber book simply wears different clothes; they do not differ at all from each other. Jacky finds herself in trouble yet wiggles out of trouble time after time, usually with the help of a bonny, young gentleman who has fallen in love with her and who she harbors affection for as well despite the fact that Jaimy is her true beloved.
Jacky does not appear to mature or learn a single thing which makes her a grating, difficult to empathize with protagonist. She also somehow manages to have talent at everything she does, something quite difficult to believe.

I had the remaining books on my to-read list. However, I removed them in favor of other books since the remaining books in the series would form the same narrative with different clothes.
