The best celebrity memoirs are the ones where the famous people feel no need to defend themselves, or their image, in a way that allows them to be candid about their mistakes. Lala Kent was never my favorite person on Vanderpump Rules, but I think her memoir does a great job of providing context for her behaviors. She had a disease and an incredible loss, which are not given by her as excuses but really like extended explanations. I did she would come a little harder on the VPR stories front, but then I wondered if her alcoholism impacted her ability to recount some of the stories in a way that was more behind the scenes then surface level. Still, this book was a fast read for VPR fans.
