I found this book to be aggressively okay. In no way spectacular, but not horrible either, just okay. The first interaction between Vanessa and Michael felt a little insta-lovey (honestly, it was more insta-lust to me, especially on Michael's part) because they went from instant sexual attraction to casually hooking up to being in love within a week or two. I felt as if their romance took place without much build-up and without them really getting to know each other.

In this regard, I thought Vanessa and Michael had a lot of sexual chemistry (the smut was quite good) and good banter, but I didn’t feel as involved in their romance or connection. I couldn’t quite pinpoint the reason why, but something about their interactions felt lacking. As I wasn’t fully invested in their romance, so the story (initially to expose Vanessa’s no-good ex-husband, though it took a backseat to Vanessa and Michael’s relationship) started becoming rather bland.

As for the side characters, I wasn't too keen on them either. There was very little character depth and they added little to the story.

Overall, a painfully average book. One of the best things about this book was how fast-paced it was. The stunning cover is also another plus. I wish I loved this book because the cover is honestly gorgeous.

So good, I squeed so much. The chemistry lept off the page right from the first time they met. I enjoyed all the set up and the characters. Everything was great. Will definitely, DEFINITELY be checking out more from this author 😍

Giving it a 5 even though I never cried, because I giggled so many times and enjoyed it so much.

I really wanted to like this book but I just didn't. The point of the book is that they are trying to expose her ex-husband but I feel like that takes a back burner. The plot in general is just very rushed and I think the book could benefit from being longer.
