This novella was just what I needed to tide me over until Headcase releases! 

Dimitri has been kept away from Arlo, the object of his obsession for 18 years. After an incident with Arlo’s abusive father in childhood, Dimitri waits until college to insert himself back into Arlo’s life. A run-in with an abusive ex, an overprotective mom, and a psychopathic, vigilante family later, Arlo and Dimitri are racing against the clock to keep themselves out of jail and see if their relationship is truly meant to be. 

I loved this novella. We dig deeper into Calliope, hacker for the Mulvaney family, and how she came to be the right hand woman to a psychopathic family of vigilante killers. Dimitri, her son, a psychopath himself, is just as delicious and intense as our previous psychopathic antiheroes, Atticus, Adam, and August. I loved Arlo! He was gentle and sweet, but determined to protect Dimitri and keep him out of his mess. (Not that Dimitri let’s that fly). 

Onley is one of the few authors that could take so much action and make it make sense and not feel rushed in a novella. Cannot wait for Headcase!
