Tangled A Small Town, Brother's Best Friend Romance (Willow Springs Series Book 2)
Reviews

first of all; i’m sold even from the trope. the storyline is lovely. i enjoyed how the story progressed and i was satisfied with it.
i found it touching at times, as well as entertaining and thrilling.
BUT, i still think that the writing is a bit off. something there doesn’t add up. firstly the language (the shit, dude, love you remains strong), the internal monologues are too fairytale-y and in a few scenes, it’s going well and then boom, ends weird, which was disappointing.
so my overall thoughts are that i quite liked the story and the characters and their chemistry and the events that took place, but i don’t really like the writing to rate it higher.

Highlights

You could lead a horse to water… but maybe it would be better to just hit him over the head with a bucket.

It had never bothered me —it is what it is.

“[…] I’m just learning that it may be better to just deal with it and not run from it.”
[…]
“[…] Just trust the process. Take it one day at a time, okay?“

That’s the thing about addiction. It didn’t matter where you came from or how smart you were —it pulled you down into the ugly abyss of darkness.
