This is the book I enjoyed the most so far in this re-read: the characters are more well-rounded, there is a bit less grandstanding and a bit more realness to everyone, including Anita.

The plot is also much better, closer to a proper thriller, albeit admittedly with less suspense.

I also like that Anita is facing her feelings and her challenges more, instead of just telling everyone to fuck off and just stashing everything deep down.
(Thought she still does tell people to go fuck themselves a fair bit, but if she didn’t, it wouldn’t be Anita, would it? 😏)

3 1/2 STARS, with hopes for future books to deserve more!
