I had a lot of mixed feelings when I first started this book. I thought the description was rather intriguing. I've had the first couple of books for a long time, but it's taken me a while to get up the gumption to read them (some books are just like that, no matter how interesting they sound). In the beginning, I was a bit put-off. It seemed a little boring and cheesy as I plodded through the first thirty or so pages, but I wasn't going to give up on it- and I'm rather glad that I didn't!

Kiss Me Kill Me actually turned out to be a rather intriguing book. Despite it having romance in it (that is not instalove, I feel the need to point out, but rather a girl's attraction to a cute boy), it isn't just based solely on that. This book follows the life of Scarlett Wakefield and her need to fit in with the popular girls at her private school, St. Tabby's. She winds up dumping her friends to go to a party she was invited to, solely for the fact of being a "gift" for some boy who had a crush on her. There, she wound up kissing her crush, a boy named Dan. Without giving away too much of what happens, we're quickly thrown into a mystery and feel Scarlett's determination to discover just what really happened at said party.

My total rating for this book is a 4.5, and I'm so glad that I gave this more than a second glance and didn't give up in those first few pages. While it might be a bit hard to get into, I found it a rather quick read once I had the time and got going. Definitely recommend it if you want a light-hearted, albeit a bit cheesy, mystery read.
