okay, I I'd have to say that this isn't my favorite book in the series. I mean, all it is is she's going back in time, "Omigod, Daniel loved me even when I was a bitchy spoiled brat, but I died anyway, boohoo!" so on and so forth. i felt it was really predictable and not very interesting. the only good part thing in this book was Bill, and I saw what happened with him coming too. And, taking into consideration that I found this book in a list of Beautiful Book Covers is just wrong. This book's cover is lame and ugly. I mean, with the first book in the series, that was a good cover. It had a striking composition, she was wearing a pretty dress, I wanted to FIND her and steal her gloves, because they were TO DIE FOR, and the forest in the background made sense cuz she and Daniel had some scenes in a forest, so yeah. Second book, again, she'd wearing a pretty dress, she's doing something cool with her hair and her hands and she's on a rocky shore, which, again, makes sense cuz she went to Shoreline School. But the caver of Passion just didn't do it for me. I mean, her dress is ugly, her hands are awkward, the rose is just there for no reason at all and doesn't add anything, the background is kind of "Huh?" and her face RUINS it. I just don't think they knew what to do with that cover and they tried to do something and it didn't work.

The best book in the series so far. It was full of action and cleared most of the things like the beginning of the curse. Totally worth to read and I can't wait to read the last installment in the series. There was a few new characters and I have to say that even though Bill was a very nice guy all the time there was always something suspicious about him and look how that turned out. Looking forward to finally hearing rest of the story and what happens in the very end.

I said I was going to finish this book, but I've already self-inflicted so much pain on myself for so long that is enough. Like I said: this is the last book in this series that I will read. Nothing can convince me anymore that this will get better or that there will be good plot twists; I can even guess what will happen in some chapters. In this book, Mary Sue (Luce) travels back in time through the Annunciators, to learn more about her ✨incredible love story with the oh-so-irresistible-and-gorgeous-Daniel,✨ who is ✨the love of her life.✨ And Daniel follows her, though she doesn't know it. The very idea of time travel is great... Sadly, Lauren Kate developed it lousy, and confusingly too. This is more like a cat and mouse game, but it's two idiots playing it. Daniel arrives just as Luce is gone and has screwed up the timeline and her past self. This time, we have two points of view: Luce's and Daniel's, which is quite ridiculous and Daniel having a point of view adds nothing to the plot. You might as well remove his parts and it wouldn't affect the book. Why? Because Daniel is supposed to be reliving his memories (not past lives because let's remember he's an old immortal of over two thousand years of miserable living) and wants to find Luce. For the first time in centuries, there is a hope of breaking the curse that prevents Luce and Daniel from having a lasting love. The most ridiculous thing about all this is that Daniel raises certain doubts in the reader, but does not resolve them, but attributes them to fate, and that's as far as it goes. He does not go deeper into the subject and leaves the reader with more doubts than at the beginning. Luce's past selves are just as imbecilic as the Luce of the present. The one from the Victorian era is the one that stands out for being a bitch. But nonetheless, they all fall in love with Daniel and my question is, how, does Daniel seek her out in every life? And if so, how does he know where she'll be now? Does this mean he's a stalker like Edward Cullen? I wouldn't be surprised if it does. This series already proved to be a Twilight 2.0. I find it morbid to think that Daniel has met Luce when she was little and they've even interacted (in the Russian version of Luce's past life, the first one she meets), and he immediately knows who she is and that she's going to fall in love with him. It's disappointing that they know they are ✨destined✨to✨be✨together✨, because I was expecting more development on the part of their "relationship" or "love", but no: since we already know they are destined, and that they are "soul mates", we just expect them to love each other and promise to be together once and for all. Luce brags about how her love is true, but we don't have the scenes where she meets Daniel once and already assumes that her love is true; and then, when she dies burned by that same love... Cookie, get yourself a love that doesn't make you explode like fireworks and isn't toxic. You will be doing us all, and yourself most of all, a huge favor if you leave Daniel Grigori and live a full and long life, not just 16/17 years. Re-evaluate your life and ask yourself if Daniel and his love are really worth burning you alive after a real kiss. I don't think so. I still don't understand what the exact point of this book is, there are too many questions that are raised, but not answered; and to some extent, that's annoying. Also, it's predictable who Bill might be and what his purpose is in the book. Definitely lame. So, this is a big nope from me. I'm truly disappointed. Edit: oH, WAIT A MINUTE. I FORGOT SOMETHING. There's a part where it says that Daniel (a +2000 y/o man, please, NEVER forget it) used to watch Luce sleep. Edward Cullen?? Anyone?? THIS IS CREEPY AS FUCK!

I feel like this book should have happened sooner on in the series, the first two could have been one book, easily. I enjoyed it very much, such a cool concept of going into ones past lives. Luce's feelings for Daniel and his for her are finally backed up in this book, each life reveals more information to Luce about herself too. I never got bored of reading Passion.

The best book in the world ever! Oh my goodness! How beautiful it was!I had almost forgotten how much I loved Fallen. I both laughed and cried through the book. And(literally)felt my heart get squeezed. It was so good to finally understand the whole truth.I was almost afraid we would never get the whole story. I should say it was the most well written book in the series so far. Just loved it...don't know what else to say....

Wow, this book was SO much different than the first two! It seems like a completely different series almost with the way you're following Luce through time instead of sitting at a school and going through her daily motions. I am beginning to dislike my ability to figure out what is going on before Luce does, but it's only about half of the time. I suppose a smarter person than I could figure it all out but hey, at least there are still some surprises! I loved getting to look at Luce's past lives though. Getting to see the love that she and Daniel had for one another over the centuries makes me feel like they're not crazy and that what they are doing is totally worth it. I can understand not only where Luce and Daniel are coming from, but I understand their friends' journeys and why they have aligned the with good and evil (or not at all) the way that they have. I'm glad that this book picked back up on the love story of Luce and Daniel where I felt that the last book was a little lacking. It's weird to realize that the Luce and Daniel from this time spent basically no time with one another in the book, but they were shown clearly. I also like how Luce didn't fall apart meeting the people from her past as she did in the last book. I think she was finally able to see that although it was heartbreaking for those that she and Daniel had left in their wake, it was what needed to happen for the two of them to be together and those two definitely belong together. I hope in the future that the other angels/demons/nephilim get to have a good love story as well, I think that they all deserve it for sticking with Luce and Daniel for so long. Even when the demons have been against them, they've still kind of been with them. I quite like Kate's writing style, as I've said before, it's easy to follow but I don't feel like she insults me with HOW easy it is to follow. She leaves just enough to the imagination with hiding the truth to parts of the story. And it always makes me want to keep on reading. The character development is great, even if it is backward development due to the time travel! Either way, as I've said before, I definitely recommend this series to everyone who's looking for a light, fun, romantic read!

I don't like giving books such a low rating, but it took me over 2 years to finish this book. It was long-winded and all of the action was within the last 50 pages of the book. the ending was predictable.

It was better than the previous. Especially because it had a unique storyline to the other two. It did feel though like it was almost from a different series. Still and ok read

There aren't enough words for how much I disliked this book. I hear there's a fourth one in this series. I refuse to read it. Oh, and what color were Daniel's eyes again...?

I really like this series and I want to love it but something keeps me on edge with it. I don't like jumping around in time. I never read time travel books because I can never get into them. While this isn't exactly a time travel series, it does sway to similar jumping from event to event. I do really love the underlying story just not this aspect of it.

Again, I wanted to love this but its predictability makes it impossible to. It feels like a guilty pleasure read to me, but isn't something I fell absolutely in love with.

Passion continues right where Torment left off. Luce sets out on her quest to discover why her love for Daniel is cursed. She goes back in time to witness firsthand her relationship with Daniel in each lifetime in hopes of finding the reason for all the heartache in their relationship. The entire book is basically different places at different points in time when Luce and Daniel were together. Lauren Kate does a wonderful job of explaining in detail each and every destination Luce visits, making you feel as though you're right there watching it firsthand. I did really enjoy Passion, but I have to admit not quite as much as the first two. I am very excited to read the fourth book in the series, Rapture, as this continues to be a favorite series of mine.

Blog | Twitter | Instagram | Review also found here. "Fear has envy in it somewhere. You may not believe it, but there are many who wish to wield the power that I wield." Finally, the Fallen series has picked up a little more and actually developed itself. Passion captures many of the elements that made Fallen and Torment fail in my eyes, but for the most part--I felt like I walked away knowing something more in this installment. One of the things that made me less than keen on the previous two books in Lauren Kate's bestselling series was that we know very little of Lucinda's past lives, the curse, the angels and demons, or her relationship with Daniel. We know virtually nothing besides the present and every time we get a little closer to learning something, we get tossed into this back-and-forth of love and angst that gets a little tiring. Fallen's lack of development and the trope of instant-love just didn't mix well with its premise and, frankly, kept tripping over itself. In Passion, we see Lucinda's past lives as she travels through them with a new-and-mysterious companion who may or may not have the best intentions for the series' heroes. To say it straight, Passion (though flawed) lives up to the groundwork that Kate has been setting up since book one and puts the other two installments in the dust. My biggest problem with Passion is a mixed bag of, "How many times do we have to see the same love at first sight plotline drag on and catch fire?" and "Where is everyone else?"--while Passion was developed far better than any of the other books in the series, it still left a lot to be desired and is not going to be for everyone. Mostly, it's the love story--tragedy and angst, longing and lust--that we've already seen, just set in different time periods. I did enjoy getting a little more context on who Lucinda had been through her lives. I've always had a fascination with past lives and what ties them together, so I did enjoy this aspect and was excited to see it play out. I also enjoyed seeing Lucinda away from Daniel, Cam and the others we've come to know. Even with the stranger presence of her new "friend", it felt like she was standing on her own two feet and getting things done on her own time--which I appreciated. The pacing was hit or miss with Passion. Because of the ever-present theme of love, there were a lot of times that felt too similar to others. The pace was saved by the chase of it all; everyone out in the timelines trying to find Lucinda, while Lucinda was trying to find herself scattered through time and space. It kept the story moving even when the plotlines didn't. I think some of my favourite parts about Passion were the ones where everyone noticed something was going amiss with the timelines and then the big Lucifer reveal. Not to mention the moments where we learn more about their fates and just how long the group has been together. All of the familiar faces and the moments were things grow more complicated. I also appreciated the glimpse into Cam's past but that won't be a surprise to anyone, because he is one of the most intriguing characters in the series to me for one reason or another. That being said, Passion was a lot more fun than Fallen and Torment but still far from a favourite book in my eyes. I can definitely see what draws fans in--especially the romantic at heart--and why it has drawn so many comparisons to the Twilight series. Overall, it was a perfectly light novel to indulge in and I'm glad that I've stuck with it as far as I have because Passion was certainly the best installment yet.

This book had to be the worst book in the Fallen series, it took me months to finish it because it was just that slow for me. Rapture definitely made up for it though.
