again, another favorite bestfriends to lovers read from lauren layne--after i read benparker's book earlier this year. layne's knew how to formulate off of the chart chemistry between two bestfriends that no-so-secretly harboring romantic feelings to each other.

initially, i read this book, the last book out of oxford series because brithunter's trope aka bestfriends to lovers.
but now after finising this book (that layne said in the beginning can be read as a standalone) i would love to read all books of stiletto girls and oxford guys because i got glimpse of them and they seemed to be interesting characters and i would like to know each of their stories. fortunately, i've read juliemitchell's book (i think... it was back in 2019) so i'm just gonna pick stiletto book 2 until oxford book 4 next time!

Ok this book was adorable. A friends to lovers trope. I love that there was no big problem. It was a light fun smutty book. Perfect mind numbing but happy book. Def recommend

why? why? why????? why is it over? i already miss these people so much. they really are a beautiful and unique group of friends. i’ll miss them. so. so. so. much. 

i feel like anyone who reads the 9 books reaches the end with a bittersweet feeling of both happiness and loss. 
just like with the show ‘friends’, we do feel like we are part of the whole group and that’s what makes reading this series such a close to heart experience. 

i’m aware that i’m talking more about the whole series rather than this book in particular, but truth be told i have to. this was the last book. 

now, regarding the last book - hunter and brit’s story. it was one of my favourite friends-to-lovers story. they were incredibly adorable. there were so many swoon-worthy moments and it was impossible not to smile throughout the whole book. THEY WERE REALLY ADORABLE.

I did it, omg I still can't believe I finished Oxford series god I already miss them all so much!! Now I can safely say this whole series, Sex, Love and Stiletto/Oxford, is one of my comfort series for life, I won't ever stop rr them I don't care, I know I will always come back to these books and fell in love with them all all over again and I'm not even sorry!!
Brit and Hunter, god Brit and Hunter reminded me of Cole and Penelope and I think best friends/friends to lovers trope remains superior, argue with the wall! Their story wasn't that powerful like the others maybe, both of them were already such amazing characters and didn't actually had to have a development but the moment Hunter finally figured it out that he actually wanted Brit, that he wanted everything with her was spectacular and I love them so so much!! And god Brit sweetie the problem wasn't you, was that men suck and you're true love was right there but he also was dumb as hell, at least he got it and they finally had their happy ending and god the epilogue with all the couples there to celebrate Lincoln and Daisy's marriage was truly perfection!!
Though I loved the epilogue with everyone there and even Cassidy and Emma being thanjful for all of them as friends and even family, I wish we could have like a epilogue book, no more than 200 pages or something, with all of them together in the wedding or even a couple years later all together in vacation because they hall have their families and work and they needed a vacation to just be together and all, no? Just me?
But seriously I loved Brit and Hunter so much, they definitely become one of my favorites with Penelope and Cole, all the way to the top and to be honest I'm not even that surprised cause, best friends/friends to lovers is my thing and god their banter and they are so damn hot together and ugh I love them!!
Kinda sad that I finished but so happy I started both series and so grateful for this Lauren Layne did such an amazing job and these characters mean the whole world to me, going to miss them so much (I already do) but I can always go back and rr them all, which I may do very soon oops!!

Brit Robbins is frustrated. She's gainfully employed at a successful men's magazine, she's not bad looking, she's extremely fun. But, she's apparently not long-term girlfriend material. So, when her latest boyfriend amicably breaks up with her, Brit decides she needs some advice. 

And who better to ask than her best friend and boss Hunter Cross? Hunter is firmly in her friend zone, but also a serial dater and pretty sexy, now that she looks at him. 

Hunter can't believe his bestie wants to pretend date him, but goes with it because he wants nothing more than for Brit to be happy. But, as these things do, Brit and Hunter begin to realize maybe it was their friendship all along that was meant to be something more.

Pretty cute contemporary romance. Friends to lovers isn't my favorite trope, as I see it as reinforcing the stereo-type men and women can't just be friends. Plus, the way some of the office politics worked out was just a bit too convenient and super unrealistic. No dating policy for direct reports? I doubt it.

That said, a fun read and I'll definitely go back to read the others in the series which I hadn't read before this one. Don't worry, I Think I Love You completely stands on its own.

Can I give I Think I Love You more than five stars? I’m not kidding. I freaking LOVED this book. Hunter and Brit’s best friends with benefits to more relationship was perfection. The banter. The swoons. The chemistry. The feels. AND THAT EPILOGUE. I’m so sad to see the Stiletto and Oxford series come to an end but damn if this didn't end it with a bang.

When Brit's latest boyfriend dumps her with the "let's just be friends" line she's heard countless times, she decides to enlist the help of her best friend, Hunter, to teach her the art of seduction. And I was hooked. Like, from page one. I Think I Love You was a one-sitting kind of read for me because, I swear, I'd read half the book before I'd realized it. I literally could not put it down. This isn't a new trope — and we all know how it's going to end — but it's how it got there that was special. And Hunter and Brit's story was just that. This is one of those books that I totally cheesy grinned my way through. I pretty much dare you to read it without a smile on your face. Even the parts with feels had me smiling through my teary eyes. And yes, I'm an emotional reader so there were definitely some tears.

I loved both Brit and Hunter and I Think I Loved you checked all my bookish boxes. Friends to lovers, friends with benefits, office romance? Check. Amazing characters, tons of chemistry, banter that made me laugh out loud? Check. Swoony romance, super hot sexy times, feels for days? Check. I couldn't ask for a better book. I could go on and on and on about how much I loved this book, but I'll spare you. I'll leave it at this — if you've not yet discovered the amazingness of Lauren's writing, start with Stiletto and work your way to Oxford once you've finished. You won't be sorry.

It's hard to say goodbye to the Stiletto and Oxford gang, but the epilogue made it a bit easier. Plus, I can always reread, right? And believe me when I say I will. Everything Lauren writes is absolute gold and I Think I Love You is the latest in a long list of books I fell head over heels in love with.

I really liked the rest of the Oxford series but this one was just OK for me. I had to ignore the fact that Hunter is Brit's boss in order to keep reading it (luckily this was fairly easy to do since there weren't very many work-related scenes until the last bit of the book). I know this was written well before the #me-too era but I've always found romances involving sleeping with the boss to be icky. Aside from that, I didn't feel a lot of chemistry between the h and H, making an overall disappointing end of the series. On the plus side, I enjoyed the cameos from characters of previous Oxford titles and there is a feeling that these are real people who seem like they would be cool to be friends with.
