Gravity is not only a second chance romance between to friends who discovered the love they had for each other, but it is also a story with a powerful message:

Lily and Trev are childhood best friends who later discover that they could be more. Their journey together growing up hasn't been an easy one, especially for Trev. His home life isn't exactly the white picket fence family and Lily knows all about it. That is why when she discovers an "out" for him, she encourages him to take the opportunity. From there, they experience more up and downs any couple should have to deal with. And for Lily, she loses who she truly is and what she really wants from life by dropping her dreams to live out Trev's dream with him. 

I took a huge chance with this book considering rock star stories aren't really my first choice when it comes to my reading taste. Also this was my first book by Lauren Runow, but this book blew me out of the water with it's emotional story. One that I am sure some can relate to in their own way. Lily and Trev were both amazing characters and their story is one that I will revisit again and again.

Gravity by Lauren Runow is a story that follows the lives of two soul mates. It is a four star book. Trevin and Lily meet at the young age of 8. Lily comes from a fine respectable home, Trevin from a troubled home which goes from bad to worse. The strong friendship between the two is what keeps him going. They are truly inseparable and have an incredible bond. Lily helps Trevin find a career in music and he quickly becomes a star. Lily follows a more common path, attending college while Trevin lives a whirlwind rock star life. The pair grow up in the story and take you with them in every step, we go through childhood, adolescence and adulthood with them. 
It isn't a pretty little love story, Trevin at time behaves badly and can be quite unlike able, he takes Lily down a route she doesn't really want to go but their bond remains strong no matter what. It is an emotional roller coaster and I found myself totally invested in the characters and hoping they would get together and sort their lives out together. It doesn't romanticise life as a rock star and Trevin seems very lonely despite the party lifestyle. He needs Lily in his life to make it complete and vice versa. I found myself routing for them to get together and was getting frustrated with them for messing up or ignoring their feelings. 

I did really enjoy this book and will read more from this author, her style of writing keeps you invested in the characters until the end.
