I wanted to take a break from reading longer books so I decided to read this short story. It was a great choice! It's been a while since I've read I Survived books and I will definitely read more. It's very fascinating and eye-opening to learn about tragedies that struck the world. I didn't really know much about Hurricane Katrina until I read this book. It makes me wonder what could have gone differently if the government and leaders funded the improvements of the levee. Would it have been possible to prevent floods entering the city? Totally recommend if you want to learn more about Hurricane Katrina.
