This was an amazing little book. My mom bought it for me in the 5th grade when I was writing a paper over Harriet Tubman, and I thought I would reread it after seeing the movie about her that came out recently. I was glad that the movie and this book lined up nearly perfectly. The only discrepancies were with Tubman's relationship with her husband - the movie took some artistic liberties there. I'm glad to have reinforced what I learned through the movie by reading this book, and it has whetted my appetite to read a more in-depth narrative of Tubman's life.
