This is a collection of short essays that are humorous and entertaining. Notaro covers many topics in an interesting, entertaining way. I recommend this to fans of Jen Lancaster's books. I borrowed this book from the public library.

I silently shook with laughter trying not to rouse my seat mate on the plane while reading this book. One chapter was so hilarious I ordered my husband to read it. *Hands him book:"I was thinking you would read it...now" those moments warrant a four star. Full disclosure: there were a few chapters where I found her opinion tedious and irritating. Especially the MULTIPLE sections on foodies. My husband, hooked after reading that hilarious puff chapter continued to read over my shoulder at one point said "she doesn't seem like a very nice person..." So, mostly hilarious and in a few sections untempered bitterness in which the humor does not shine through.
