An adorable children's book that urges you to always use your imagination and consider the world from infinite perspectives.

“People have forgotten this truth," the fox said. "But you mustn’t forget it. You become responsible forever for what you’ve tamed. You’re responsible for your rose.”
― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince

Little Prince

for me it was a book which required some interpretation, which is surely playful, but it turns out your interpretations are wrong, because the hidden meaning is way too simple (you find out throughout reading the book) but maybe that's just me.

My ebook copy messed up the italic sentences so I’m pretty sure I missed out on some important quotes, which is why this gets four stars.

"An aviator, downed in the desert and facing long odds of survival, encounters a strange young person, neither man nor really boy, who, it emerges over time, has travelled from his solitary home on a distant asteroid, where he lives alone with a single rose. The rose has made him so miserable that, in torment, he has taken advantage of a flock of birds to convey him to other planets. He is instructed by a wise if cautious fox, and by a sinister angel of death, the snake."--Adam Gopnik, The New Yorker

Este libro fue de los primeros que amé de verdad. Lo leí de chiquita porque se veía cute, pero cada vez que lo releo (y ya van varias), me da en lugares distintos del alma. 💛
