Fantastic content, but the dialog was quite repetitive and forced so was hard to read a lot of it at a time without feeling like the book was treating me like an idiot. Nonetheless, I feel like a better person having read the book.

Not every lesson is for every person, and this one clearly isn't for me.

However, it's kind of crap anyway. They have a very strong cultural value -- no self deception -- but they don't interview for it, and they wait a month to start training you on it? No way that could be called success.

This book would have been far better as a lesson, with realistic ways this could work. Having an exec give a 1.5 day lecture to every crappy middle manager sure isn't going to do it,

This edition tackles the issue of self-deception and provides methodologies to help people overcome it.

This one is infuriatingly patronizing, and I felt like I was reading a very very long-form variant of the old Goofus and Gallant cartoons at times, but the main idea of the book seems sound. As with so many of these business books I'm reading, I feel like it would have made a great article but a whole book devoted to it tends to overwork the material.
